L'Insalata Ricca is a nice and quiet place, where you can eat a salad and feel that you are in a real italian restaurant - not just one more (like many in Rome) that works just to tourists and, specially, their money. The employees should be more friendly, though. It's a nice place if you want to stay away from... More

Quick service, decent patio. Really enjoyed a nice chicken and Greek salad with my Roman chicken. House wine was good value and went down smooth. Patio was comfy and service took care of us. The bathroom was a bit used and the interior was dark. Best to sit outside. Lots of locals and tourists here. Good for lunch.

We went here on a whim. I had pizza, it was delicious. My friend had steak...not so good unfortunately. My big issue is the service. The waiters seem bored, disinterested. There was an older gentleman there and he tried to take our order and when we tried to order in very basic Italian he tutted and waved his hand dismissively.... More

Right next to our hotel and genuinely the food here was amazing. Every meal had here was delicious- salad pasta and without doubt the pizza. Perfect Rome experience we were looking for, good and well-timed service and good prices.

Great selection of salads but wouldnt come here for pasta or house wine. The salads are big and there is a huge selection of vegetarian, with meat and with seafood. My husband got the ravioli and it was just ok. I got the house white wine and it was not good. The server wasnt friendly which is always a turn... More

Our tour guide set up our lunch here. Table of eight waiting for us and service was great. We were able to eat quick and move on to our tour. Food was delicious! They also had wifi. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Skip this spot - it's a total tourist trap and they do not value any customer whatsoever. We stopped in here on a one hour tour break before entering the Vatican and while my husband had a perfectly passable pizza, I ordered a pasta arrabiatta. I was expecting a nice bowl of pasta, usually it would be penne, with a... More

We had dinner here and from the moment we arrived to the time we left the waiters seemed disinterested and to some degree rude. One of the waiters was more interested in his phone than his tables. Real shame on our last night in Italy as we have had some fantastic waiters here. The food is OK and the servings... More

Just east of the entrance to the Vatican museums, we stopped here for lunch before touring. We ordered four different pizzas, all of which were fresh, soft and flavourful. Perhaps not quite on par with what we had in Sorrento, we would definitely go back. Very busy, which is always a good sign!

We stopped here after touring the Vatican for a late lunch. After eating wonderfully but heavy during our Italy trip, it was great to get something lighter but still tasty. My wife hadn't had a full salad in 10 days and she really likes a good salad, so stopping here hit the spot. Big menu so beyond a wide variety... More

Staying in Prati

Neighbourhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the centre, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighbouring Borgo, Prati is a local favourite for its aesthetic organisation and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
