This restaurant is worth visiting if any of your party are runners - we were in Rome as my two sons were running the Rome marathon - and one had seem Mimo (the owner of this place) in a programme about this race. The pizzas are also excellent - but that was a bit beside the point for our visit

My boyfriend and I went there on a recent trip to Rome, as our host called it 'the best pizzeria in Rome' and it certainly didn't disappoint! It is not a very touristy area, although the waiter spoke excellent English and there were some English translations on the menu, it was full of locals (from about 9pm) and it was... More

Probably the best pizza in Rome! We've staying around the corner for the last few days and eaten all over Rome. This place was easy and great value for us for a family of 4 including a hungry 12 and 10 year old. Would recommend every time if close by!

No pretensions but top quality pizza, the best I have had for some time. Everything a neighbourhood pizzeria should be. Highly recommended.

We went for a meal as we were staying very locally. I got a pizza which was delicious and had the perfect levels of base and topping. My girlfriend had a spaghetti carbonara which was also very tasty. The pizzeria has a really nice atmosphere and is not touristy at all. We felt as if we were dining with locals.... More

Pizzas are ok, thin base yes but rather bland. Sauce was...average and quality of toppings was...average. It is way better than most of the tourist traps in Rome and has a nice busy local feel but not worth going out of your way to get to. Staff could make a bit more effort at service with a smile and they... More

This was our favourite place to have Dinner in Rome. Especially the Pizza Calzone and the White Vine were great. There are hardly any tourists.

The restaurant looks quite basic, but the food is amazing and the service is very friendly. Prices were very reasonable, I paid €7 for a very tasty carbonara. Well worth a visit.

I was on a holiday in Rome and stayed in the area. The people from my hotel recommended the restaurant to me and my friends. When we first arrived at the place, we were not very impressed. The restaurant itself wasn't anything fancy, but when the food arrived... OH MY GOD! The best pizza I've ever tried! Totally worth it.... More

Staying in San Lorenzo

Neighbourhood Profile
San Lorenzo
San Lorenzo may look all street with its pulse in urban art and street food, but don’t be fooled. This gritty student neighbourhood immediately east of Termini train station is on the avant-garde rise. Art galleries, curated mural projects by artists like Rome’s favorite Alice, charming cafes, and boutique restaurants are slowly infiltrating the streets of San Lorenzo with counter-culture chic. Don’t worry, San Lorenzo still retains its local vibe with weekend festivals and demonstrations, and is always a hub for Rome’s university student scene.
