Sunday at 8 pm, "menu pizza"= appetizer bread, pizza and small beer or water 10€. Vegetable pizza that I ordered was good, waiters were friendly and didnt loose their nerves even when we were stupid with the ordering. No serving costs so we payed a little tip for tge good service. Good athmosphere.

in the middle of trastevere, this is one of the tourist restaurants.. price are really low for special menu but you cannot expect nothing special from dishes and wine(we take menu of the day). anyway good points: staff is really kind and perfect position and obviously very low price.

This restaurant offers great value for money. I had the €12 menu which offered a choice of pasta dishes to start, then a meat course, the dessert and included a small drink. I started with bucatini in a tomato and bacon sauce which was excellent and came in a main course size portion. I then chose suckling pig with potatoes... More

We were there twice, first time we were delighted - very nice service and all. But the second time we were served by other waiter, who was unpolite and forgot about part of our order.

We had menu with pizza. Waited for a bit longer while the oven started. Pizza was ok, I'm spoiled I guess by the pizzas in Croatia so this was a bit poorly dressed for my taste. But that is only a matter of the taste. Service is ok, nothing special but courteous enough.

After wandering Trastevere, we had pizza at The Mirror, which is a pleasant outdoor cafe on the edge of the district. Excellent table service and good pizza for a quick lunch. Not much to look at, but seems popular with locals.

The place resembles your average cheap restaurant in Rome. Service and atmosphere were ok, but the food was a let down; tasteless and greasy. Granted, the price was reasonable, but we were able to find much better quality with around the same price in the city.

After some fantastic meals in Italy we stumbled upon this restaurant. The staff I cannot fault and the price was reasonable. But the food left more to be desired. The starters were ok, we had been spoilt by an amazing cheese and meat board previously, but the mains were pretty average. I was looking forward to a good spaghetti bolognese.... More

After spending a week in Rome and trying many different places to eat we tried The Mirror in Trastevere. Easy to access right off the number 8 tram just as you cross the river coming out of central Rome. It was about 10 pm and not very busy but the staff were helpful and spoke some english. They had a... More

Staying in Trastevere

Neighbourhood Profile
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
