We had 8 hours layover in Rome, went to town and had breakfast there, Louis was swift and friendly, he made our meal happen in few minutes, perfect place for meals all day, the coffee and the deserts are also very good.

Good place for breakfast and brunches. Pleasant staff. Pay attention the prices at the bar desk are lower than at the tables.

Well cooked, presented and served meal at a reasonable price. My wife asked what desserts were available and, better than trying to describe them in broken English, the helpful waiter brought an example of each on a platter for her to choose. Good selection of unusual desserts, beautifully presented and lovely taste.

This was our first meal in Rome and thank goodness we lucked out. Both my spaghetti carbonara and my partners pizza diavola were really, really tasty - the wine suggested by the extremely friendly waiter was delicious and the tiramisu dessert we shared was just devine. Bill came to a very reasonable €35 for two. Will be paying another visit... More

I first found this place back last year and this year I went back for morning pastries and biscuits. Each time I've been there I've always been pleased with the service (one guy there Luigi is lovely to speak too when it's not so busy) and as well as the food. I would say the best time to go for... my husband and i got suckered into this place with a promise of a 10.00 euro buffet & drink and what a HUGE letdown. the concept of keeping warm foods warm & cold foods cold was clearly lost at this place. in hindsight we should have ordered the most expensive drink on the menu since they said ANY drink was... My wife and I got there for a breakfast and were surprised to discover at the moment to pay the bill that we would have to pay 4,00€ for less than 200ml of Orange juice. The waitress were accelerating us to make a decision and we ended up having a "normal" bread for the price of a car! The staff,... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
