I have been at Mama's Bistrot for lunch. Little nice restaurant, very nice decorated with books around available for reading. Very large selection of first dishes and salad. I recommend it but I have to mention the slow service.

Bit pricier than the usual ham and cheese sandwich lunch, but of excellent quality. One thing was that the locals seemed to be ordering from a different menu than the English speakers. I know I should learn more Italian, but a bit frustrating when the table across the way had a lovely charcuterie platter followed by a risotto, whilst I... More

We ordered seafood linguine and cheesecake. OMG the cheesecake! It is the best cheesecake I had ever! The seafood linguine are amazing too! We came here twice during our five days trip in Rome!

Excellent choice for a late dinner after an all day outing at the Vatican and St. Peter's Basilica. Recommendation from tour guide not to eat too close to main city attractions. We found this restaurant off on a side street. Very cozy contemporary setting. Judging from what other customers had ordered, everything looked good. We ended up ordering two pasta... More

We were hungry after walking around Vatican - and found a quite and bright place. We got a day menu which was pasta or beef sticks and chocolate cake with coffee and water. The pasta was simple but nice: broccoli and tomatoes. Beef was served with fries. The cake was warm and served with cream. I dont think that next... More

Stopped here after searching, without success, for a highly rated TA restaurant. It was crowded, always a good sign, and the menu looked good. We were not disappointed. The carbonara was good and the bread plentiful! It is small with close tables but in Rome that is ambience! I would definitely return!

Location: good, near Vatican Fresh and friendly athmosphere but very crowdy as the small tables are very very close to each other. Food: not good at all and very small quantity Service: good and fast Cost: very expensive for what it is offered. Small fish salad 11€ 'Costolette agnello' 15€ (see picture) I have been there twice and both was... More

Great fish dishes in a beautifully designed place. Cozy yet elegant atmosphere. The service was a little too slow but the dishes were worth the wait. Check out the day's specials written on the black board or ask for them if they're not up there. Those goodies are not on the menu and you don't want to miss them. I... More

Staying in Prati

Neighbourhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the centre, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighbouring Borgo, Prati is a local favourite for its aesthetic organisation and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
