We went without booking on a Friday night and the patron luckly accepted us. Food is something out of this world especially my moscardini con peperoni. It's a must to visit this place once in Rome. Booking before is recommended. We will be back for sure

It was my best food experience in Rome. Most of the customers seem like local people. Their ravioli, porchetta, and even fried potatoes were amazing! Defenitely want to visit again.

The place is rather small, tables are close, and when the place is full (very often, I suppose, and they are mostly local) there is a bit of confusion. But this is compensated with genuine local food and good prices. We had a selection of appetizers (bruschetta, fagiolini...) coupled with pasta and ravioli. Also the tiramisù is very good. With... We had a great evening, great food and atmosphere. Real Italian restaurant with real Italian people inside :) They don't speak English fluently, but the menu is translated so no issue :). Will i go there some other time ? Definitely !!

We met with some colleagues in this small local trattoria after a long day of conference at the university. We started with jamon and took the raviolli as main; both were of good quality. The red house wine was good too. We closed with a tiramisu and expresso of course. All in all a recommend for a good dinner and... More

Very nice people, very good food and decent prices. We had carbonara, lasagna and for desert we had tiramisu with Nuttela. Everything was delicious. Also, I recommend their wine.

This place seems great for the locals, however they seemed to have no interest in my husband and I when we arrived and sat down. The food was absolutely amazing but the service was a little disappointing. We felt a litre uncomfortable and ignored. Would possibly try again for the food alone.

Authentic Italian food and atmosphere, where there were more Italian's eating in there then tourists, always a good sign, basic little restaurant that makes you feel like your in Rome

My friend and I arrived in Rome close to midnight, naturally our first thought being food. We checked into our hostel, but were bummed because it looked like all the restaurants around our area were closing. However, our hostel manager called Sapori di Casa. They were closing, but decided to stay open for us. Our meal was perfect and satisfying,... More

Stayed down the street at Domus Castrense, came home late and Sapori was still open so we stepped in for dinner. Despite how late it was, it was still quite busy inside. Took a bit of time for a waiter to come see us at our table, but there were only two people serving food, cleaning up, and cashing people... More

Staying in San Lorenzo

Neighbourhood Profile
San Lorenzo
San Lorenzo may look all street with its pulse in urban art and street food, but don’t be fooled. This gritty student neighbourhood immediately east of Termini train station is on the avant-garde rise. Art galleries, curated mural projects by artists like Rome’s favorite Alice, charming cafes, and boutique restaurants are slowly infiltrating the streets of San Lorenzo with counter-culture chic. Don’t worry, San Lorenzo still retains its local vibe with weekend festivals and demonstrations, and is always a hub for Rome’s university student scene.
