We were seated outside and thought nothing of it although I always prefer inside in November. No heaters. Before I knew it the entire patio was full of English speaking tourists only. They put a couple inches from us while the inside was nearly empty....This was during covid. They were seating Italians only inside. Segregation.
The service is too fast and rushed. Borderline rude. The chicken in peppers was very good, carbonara was not, and pasta with zucchini flowers was good. When I went to pay they said service was not included and if I wanted to add something. No, service is always included. Preying on tourists is not acceptable. This is our 6th time to Rome and this place is at the bottom of our list. If they tell u service is not included don’t argue. Say ok and leave nothing. That’s what we did. Stay away, you are not missing a thing.More
A rainy day in Rome. The line was still long. After reading the reviews we decided to stop here. Service was super un-personal, we felt really stressed and not welcome. The rain did pour down so I understand the staff was stressed but no smiles...or any extra. The food was in the bottom 3 of all we ate during our stay and still the most expensive. None of us finished our food and we left hungry and stressed. The menu we got was also only in Italian and we recieved no help at all to make a wise choice. The mozzarella was so simple and still cost 13€ - we really would not recommend this place at all.More
The family-owned restaurant Osteria da Fortunata seems to be a favorite with locals and tourists alike.
Our apartment host raves about it serving the best local food in the Campo de Fiori district so obviously we had to go check it out.
The fresh handmade...pasta is indeed cooked perfectly al dente, but we felt that the other dishes we ordered (involtini alla romana, coniglio alla cacciatora) were not tender enough.More
The pasta was nothing overly special. While admittedly fresh, I’ve had much better elsewhere and for less. Certainly not good enough to justify the massive hype or long queues. The baked potatoes on the side were a highlight for me.
The pasta (home-made, just in front of you) is really good, although it can be a bit pricey - it is around 17€, and adding even just water you reach 20€ so not great price-wise, even considering central position. When I came (around 12.30) there...was no queue at all. They have multiple locations around the square despite lining up is just in one place. However, service was pretty slow. Weird that it must be paid inside and not at the table.More
You can come to experience the t*kt*k hype but its not worth going twice. The que is very long and not worth the price of €16 for a carbonara. You can get better pasta elsewhere with a friendlier and faster service. If youre going for...the experience of watching someone make your pasta infront of you, theres plenty of places out there that does it too. Would not come there again. Save your time, save your money and look around the corner for a better restaurant.More

You will love this place. It is one of our most favorites in Rome.
