Any business that’s been around since 1900 must be doing things right & they have! Incredible gelato, energy, service & the whole experience is worth a stop to this famous place! Our family loved it!

Best gelato! We loved the cute man who served us (other reviews say "grumpy"... we say character and charm!).

Great gelato place in Rome. Super crowded but worth the wait, which goes fast. Some tables outside, but most people eat in the streets.

We popped in here after dinner to finish off our evening in Testaccio. The ice cream and coffee granita were typical Italian ice cream, although slightly more than you would normally expect to pay. The man serving behind the bar was friendly enough, but the...experience was ruined by the old man who sits behind the till, who told my pregnant wife she had give up her seat to let other people sit down who had bought an ice crean after her, even though she was still finishing hers. Nice.More

We visited Giolitti as a part of a food tour of the Testaccio neighborhood, and it was amazing! I had the coffee and hazelnut gelato with whipped cream on top, and it was sooooo good! My favorite gelato during our visit to Rome!

My friend and I got gelato from here.. honestly it was overpriced and nothing amazing. There is no seating available if you only order gelato.

Visited with my wife and this made her day! the desserts were fresh and you could feel the bits of cherry in the sorbet! be mindful of queue jumpers otherwise you'll be waiting a long time for your treat.

I visited this gelateria as part of a food tour, and it was a wonderful experience. This shop has been there since 1914 and it still looks the part. I had tiramisu and zabaione, of COURSE with the delicious panna (whipped cream) which is still...made in the whipping machine from the 1930s. Try it, you'll love it! Note that this is the Giolitti location in the Testaccio neighborhood, not the one near the Pantheon. With far less tourists, it's a totally different experience.More

The products, sandwiches, dolci, coffee and everything are perfect. The quality of everything is top but you have gone early in order to have a variety.

Its classic décor adds the charm to this old roman café - we stopped for a coffee and a sfoglia alla ricotta which is one of their specialities. It was very good for a quick stop whilst roaming the area of the Pantheon and Piazza...Navona.!More

Giolitti is located close to the Pantheon, in the very center of Rome. It's been produncing one of the best icecream in Rome since decades.

Giolitti's main ice creamery, near the Pantheon, is famous for its huge selection (more than 80 flavours), and equally daunting queues. For a quieter, more local experience head down to 'little Giolitti' in Testaccio. You'll find the famous Zabaglione ice cream there, with a smaller...but eminently respectable choice of flavours, and the the handwhipped 'panna' to top things off. No queues... but beware, if your combination of flavours tends towards the unorthodox, the man behind the counter WILL try to talk you out of it! (In a nice way :-) )More

It's a pretty basic little place with simple traditional decor but the lovely staff will serve you, simply the best gelato in Rome, possibly Italy. I cannot recommend stopping by here enough! It's a must do for someone exploring Rome off the beaten track, a...must for foodies and an absolute must if you want an authentic experience of the city.More
