This restaurant is just out of town, a pleasant drive, with some great views on the way of Rome. The restaurant was very busy with many tourists but also many Italians. The restaurants has a downstairs area and a collection of different rooms on the upper floor. Service was very pleasant and efficient. The food was very flavoursome, all very... More

My first time at Antico Arco was in the Fall of 2007 when I was studying abroad in Rome and my parents came to visit. Each dish we were ordered was exquisite and memorable. Nearly 10 years later I went back during a business trip, and it was just as incredible as I remembered! I took my clients to dinner... More

Absolutely the best restaurant experience we've had in Rome. Highly creative takes on traditional Italian dishes. They looked amazing on the plates. And tasted amazingly. Had a mindblowing carne cruda (Piedmontese steak tartare) with frozen flakes of foie gras, just to give you an example. We were there with our two kids and the four of us truly enjoyed the... More

Truly one of our favorite finds in Rome - off the beaten path. The food was delectable, wine selection was wonderful, and our waiter made it all perfect. I had the best dessert I have ever had!!

Booking this restaurant for a Friday evening couldn't have been easier. We arrived and the staff we very welcoming and the decor was fresh. It was nice to see that both locals and other tourists were enjoying this establishment. Both myself and my partner went to the taster menu. It was outstanding and by the end neither of us could... Great cozy enviroment with nice music and marvellous service! Ordered the montepulciano wine, carbonara and "ciocori" for dessert...loved it! The bread is also delicious and the price is fair given all the service and quality of the food...it's a must!

I really loved the food. It was super clean and staff are well trained. The wine is good but they don't serve half bottle. The chef surprised my wife and I by serving a tiny dish of each other so we didn't have to attack our dishes with fork! Overall it is a high quality restaurant with a medium range... More

We had a dinner at Antico Arco on the second evening of our Rome trip. My husband ordered a carbonara pasta as the primi and me crystal mozarela. It was the best carbonara we ever had and the portion actually was quite big. As secondi, I had a fish and my husband a steak. Every dish is good. Decoration is... More

Had a lovely Christmas eve meal at Antico Arco. We had the tasting menu which was all beautifully cooked and food in abundance. Also at least 2 separate amuse-bouches in between courses. The meat was cooked perfectly: the best beef I've had in about 20 years. Staff were attentive, and although I appreciate that they had 8 courses to get... More

Staying in Monteverde

Neighbourhood Profile
Above the city on the Janiculum hill, Monteverde is Rome’s popular "getaway" neighbourhood, coveted for its greenery. Rome's largest urban park, Villa Pamphili, is the area's centrepiece with affordable prices and peace and quiet. Monteverde is just far enough away from the centre to feel like you’re on a Roman holiday and close enough to feel the lure of Rome's chaos. Though its downside is the lack of scheduled public transport, this family-oriented area is literally a well-deserved walk in the park.
