This place had good reviews on various sites so I tried it out. The service was terrible. I waited ages to order, people who got there after me ordered before me, and it wasn't busy. Was offered no water or bread, yet others around me received it when they sat down. The food was blah. I was surrounded by lots... More

Following recommendations from various guide books and social platforms we decided to book this restaurant to the perfect Easter lunch. We were highly disappointed: The menu were mediocre compared to next door neighbours and seeing that we went for two courses in order to save our appetites. After 40 minutes a dish of carbonara and a dish of risotto with... More

Looking for a reasonable priced restaurant with good looking food we read the reviews for this one. Definitely useful to read reviews having made a poor choice the night before. The busy restaurant squeezed us in. There was a good choice of food. 2 garlic bread and a vegetable of the day starter followed by veal limone (my veal was... More

Enjoyed a lot. The place is authentic, not expensive and provides perfect service. All the waiters are kind and gentle, the food is perfect. No complains, I could with no doubts recommend the place. The owner gave us our personal attention what was nice.

This a a great little find down one of the side streets off Saint Maria Piazza. After an awful and overpriced meal somewhere the night before we were so glad we picked this restaurant. Upon arriving it was full but they quickly fitted us in and made us welcome. Service was fast and food delicious and good value for money!!... More

A lot of people don't make it across the river to Trastevere, but this lovely little restaurant is worth the visit in itself. It's a five-minute taxi ride from the vatican, or just across the river near Circus Maximus. Very cute, and some tables outside in the narrow street. Good vibe of an old-fashioned Roman restaurant. Food was excellent, and... More

One of the best meals we ate in Rome. Definitely must eat the tomato bruschetta. Increadable taste.Friendly service and good value for money. The stairways going down to the toilet was amazing. Hundreds of dolls, Pinocchio's, etc...decorate the walls. Really enjoyed our meal.

My friends and I came here for dinner. The food was okay, but nothing special – I wouldn’t recommend it. There are other place much better (service and food) and even cheaper.

It was a rainy Sunday after shopping in Porte Portese market ... we found this hidden amazing Italian restaurant after escaping the rain. What a nice small restaurant with a special atmosphere and great team. The 4 cheese pizza was amazing and also the Nyocki and the mushrooms cream pasta. We also had a delicious anti pasti and great bruschetta... More

Staying in Trastevere

Neighbourhood Profile
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
