This charming trattoria is near the Colosseum but off the beaten path. The food is excellent and the staff delightful! You can avoid steps by taking Viale del Monte Oppio from 2 blocks south of Santa Maria Maggiore in Monti.

I have visited this place 4 years ago and was happy to come back. Close to the Colosseum but far from the tourist crowdy places, amazing service, we were treated like by own family. Food was very good.

This restaurant is on a quiet street and is frequented by locals rather than just tourists. We ate here in between tours and thought the food was wonderful. All of us had pasta--it looked little in the bowl, but like all good Italian pasta it...More
