We visited Piperno on our first night in Rome and there could have not been a better way to start our trip. We found about it in an online guide and we can assure with no hesitation that the service and quality where the best we could have. Make sure to reserve a spot and admire the walls of this... More

We visited on the recommendation of friends. Great traditional ambience with good service but food a little disappointing. The zucchini flowers and artichokes had been cooked in oil that had previously cooked fish (and so tasted fishy), everything was under seasoned, our desserts (3 of them) were served at different times 5 mins apart. There was a feeling that it... More

not sure where to begin on this one. Hidden away in this tiny weeny square in the Jewish quarter of Rome for 150 years, and I don't want anyone else knowing about it except I do want to shout from the rooftops how gorgeous this place is. Husband and I stumbled over it on Saturday arvo looking for some lunch... More

In a picturesque quiet side street in Rome's Jewish quarter, Piperno is homey, elegant and unfailingly delicious. The service is impeccable as one can expect from waiters who have been running this floor since the time of Julius Caesar.

We reserved for lunch at this charming restaurant and spent a few hours before at the Museo Ebraico di Roma and Synogogue. It felt so special and welcoming. Service was excellent and the restaurant room had such a wonderful feel to it - a bit formal without any stuffiness. We started with a large platter of fritto misto, then a... More

We came here initially for the carciofi alla giudia (Roman Jewish fried artichokes) but were pleasantly surprised by the variety and number of house specialities on the menu. They also serve beautiful fried zucchini flowers. Because we had planned to stop by Roscioli as well which is nearby we only took the vongole which were some of the best I... More

One of the restaurants where my wife and I enjoyed having dinner during our recent visit to Rome was Piperno in the Jewish Ghetto. We strongly recommend carefully studying a map before setting out for Piperno since it is located on a small, somewhat obscure piazza nestled between two side streets. While Google Maps was good enough to get us... More

Simply put, this is one of the very best Restaurants for authentic - and absolutely delicious - Roman food. It doesn't come cheap, and of course, Rome being what it is, you'll find many discerning foreigners amongst the local regulars. The service is knowledgeable, and excellent in every way. The ambience is unique, with its frescos dating back to the... More

It's a Traditional and classic restaurant placed in the Jewish district near the synagogue. All tells us the history (from environment to the furniture) and the tradition (menu) of the place. We tried different dishes but we think the strong point is carciofi alla Giudia. The price is quite expensive.

Hi, food was absolutely amazing - specially the spaghetti with clams ! Waiter was sweet and tolerant even though we were creating quite the ruckus!
