A wonderful restaurant tucked into a small corner of the Jewish Ghetto. Lovely food and wine and incredible service. Highly recommend! A great place to get away from the crowds.

We wanted to try the famous artichokes from the Jewish quarter and this restaurant did not disappoint. Everything was fabulous from the service, through the wine and amazing food. Artichokes, stuffed squash leaves, carbonara, grilled lamb, saltimbocca... FABULOUS.

Very Good Restaurant and Nice Service People. We spent a lunch here and really got the typical Lazio/Rome Food which was simply fantastic. The Location is nice and you can breath really to be in the typical italian restaurant. Suggested.

This restaurant came recommended by another foodie friend, we were not disappointed. The ristorante is rather difficult to find and many taxi drivers will drop you outside the synagogue at the side of the river rather than drive through the winding back roads. I couldn't...More

We had a delicious meal here on our second night in Rome. The restaurant is on a secluded alley, and sitting outside gave us a great atmosphere. We had the fried appetizer sampler, and the artichokes were so good we had to order another round!...More

Thank "EatItaly" I suppose, but if Romans dined here once, as they did in the Tabernae and Triclinia of Nero's day, the New Goths from New York appear to have driven them off. It's like an NYU alumni getaway, a room full of New Yorkers...More

It took us some time to find this place, but with a little persistence and the help of a kind local we succeeded. The food and service were both good, but expensive.

Rome restaurants usually close one day a week, and that day is at their discretion. Piperno is closed on Mondays.

Hi Barb S. As other Trip Advisors have suggested, its a fair distance/walk from St. Peters and i would personally take a taxi. Re the language...we had absolutely no trouble in conversing with our waiter.
