Classic Roman food, and some of the interesting nuances of the traditional Jewish Roman cuisine. Excellent fried artichokes, and other other traditional appetizers. I have been to Piperno many times and time after time the friend items on the menu, especially the artichokes and zucchini flowers, are always the best. My husband also had a halibut wrapped in thinly sliced potatoes and served with artichokes and I had...More

Enjoyed our evening here. Food was good, service was excellent, and the setting in a very quiet piazza was lovely. Food was just a bit expensive.

Very difficult to be fair here, I had a great lunch at Piperno but can see why a lot of people, particularly foreign visitors to Rome, have mixed experiences. Firstly this restaurant has been around longer than most of it's patrons have been alive, our...More

I came here with two friends, celebrating a special occasion. We had reserved a table outside- reservations are essential, especially in the summer. We had a fritto misto di mare to start- it was, hands down, the most unusual and delicious one I have ever...More

Rome restaurants usually close one day a week, and that day is at their discretion. Piperno is closed on Mondays.
