We were taken here by relatives since it is famous for being one of the oldest coffee shops in Rome, first opening in 1760. America was not even a country!! What they didn't tell me is that it was once the hang out for writers...More

Caffe Greco is a historical and luxurious place to drink a cup of coffee. The staff is very kind but the coffee for its price was not the best. It was nice to pay visit but I will not pay a visit again.

Cafe el Greco is a place you cannot miss in Rome. The coffee and cakes are amazing. You are sitting almost in a museum. It displays pictures fo all the famous people who visited and you can't believe it.

I visited this famous place just because I was curious...really disappointing......old but without anything to admire of..... it looks rather deserted....the prices extremely high (one piece of cake or other sweets costs 12 euros....unacceptable.....). I really don't find a reason to go back there.....

Extremely awful service, average coffee and terrible staff. My friend and I visited the place out of its history and the prestige, unfortunately the service was extremely horrible. We need to ask for the bill up to five times and endure the terrible indifference from...More

Yes. Tuxes are de rigueur. There are two areas, the outer where you stand, and the inner seats where you pay more to sit down. The latter is highly recommended.
