We were there on a Wednesday night with what seemed to be an exclusively local (or at least Italian) crowd. Service was good, efficient, cheerful. The restaurant is a little close for my taste but, for them, why not enjoy success. The fried artichoke was not breaded and was delicious. The pasta (bacon, pepper and pecorino) was quite good. The... More

This place recommended by friend back home. We were in the area and thought we'd check it out. We were lucky that we'd been to the villa over the road but were on GMT time zone and starving by twelve which meant we got a seat outside which was lovely. It packed up quickly. Staff spent most of the time... More

Rome is good for food but we got a bit tired of places that lived of tourists. Here we had an all round good evening in the hands of helpful staff, a range of different foods -with a decent menu and food that was more authentic. From 8pm at night local people arrived, regulars and the happy buzz completed a... More

We went there because it was raining heavily and we wanted to stay dry. We ordered a drink each and some antipasti. It was 1pm and the restaurant was fairly empty. They kicked us out because we didn't order main dishes.

Restaurant looks cozy. Typical italian. Reminded me from the Godfather film. We met only italians there. Pizza was fantastic. It had almost butter taste. Very creamy. Red Wine was excellent. We would come again

We went there with family and kids. Prices are reasonable and the vino rosso della cassa is excellent. Fried artichokes, pastas pizzas etc are delicious! Less "touristy" than most places in Trastevere, worth the visit if you are in the area.

Nice lasagna, pollo with patate, great creme caramel. Inexpensive. Service is ok, the place has local people. A very good value.

I and my wife have been several times in Miraggio to eat traditional roman food. It's one of my favourite restaurants in Italy. The food is very good and it is very cheap too. Of course, it's also a food quite difficult to appreciate if you are vegan or vegetarian. I usually go to Miraggio to eat food like lamb... More

👌🏻We had our last supper in Rome at this restaurant (it was recommended by a friend of my colleague). It didn't disappoint! 🚖It was a bit far out from the city center (we took a taxi - 3 kilometers from where we lived) and I guess because of that there were also more Italians/locals than tourists. That was a big... More

We have visited the place on Friday night and it was full, that is why we decided it could be of a good quality. My son has ordered bean soup. That was hot and spicy, but definitely not tasty at all. I have ordered lamb chops and it was total disaster: overdone up to dry and crispy, mostly bones, side... More

Staying in Trastevere

Neighbourhood Profile
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
