They offer both meat and vegetarian options at reasonable prices. The service is basic, a bit cafeteria style, but the people are nice. I always have a big plate with a small portion of salad, a large portion of rice with either daal(lentils), chick peas or curried vegetables. They also have an assortment of Indian desserts. They list the ingredients... More

The generous veg meal was 10 euros which was huge and satisfying. Service was great. The chicken curry with a veg side and rice was 9.5. Would return if we crave affordable indian food!

Dont miss this small indian eat-out 5 mins walk from the termini station. The board on its outside says "Indian Fast food" and when you go near it reads as "Janata restaurant" but its the same thing. They offer set meal, and chaat items like pakora, samosa, vada paav, etc. My wife and I ate like pigs and the bill... More

We visited this restaurant at the end of a two week trip. Hands down, it was our favourite meal. Lots of other delicious food in Rome, but every restaurant seems to have the same menu! Indian Fast Food is different. The restaurant is authentic, and although 'rough and ready' is the perfect setting for an authentic curry: plastic plates, ceiling... More

The title should give you an idea of what I might say in the review. And I write only as a tourist and not a local. So my review is only for a specific genre. If it is 'fine dining' ... not 4 u. If it is variety/buffet for a king.. not 4 u. If it is 'posh' you want...... More

This is THE authentic Indian food you'll get anywhere near Termini station. Rest of them all are Indian for namesake. The food is here exactly like back home - only a true Indian like me can vouch for it. The flavours took me back my lovely country - instantly! I kept wanting more. Of course it's a fast food joint... More

Look: Would this place merit my "4-star" rating were we in London or Leeds or Bradford? Probably 3-star, for the nice English-speaking Punjabi staff, the prices, and the fairly good food, served on a stainless-steel thali plate, and eaten with plastic utensils at communal tables, fast, and in a pleasant, multi-ethnic environment close to the wonderful Piazza Vittorio food market.... I was VERY disapponted with this place. Especially because Trip Advisor points them as a good place. Rubbish. Cant' belive HOW MUCH they charged me for such a little quantity of food (a total of six hundred grams max. of food for one person and to take away , without drinks !) and of very low level. Almost fainted ....14,00... More

I was here for a dinner with a friend, we were curious to eat typical Indian dishes and it was the right place, near the Termini station in the heart of the "Quartiere Esquilino" we found this Indian fast food. Easy place, if you are looking for an elegant restaurant don't it's not for you, choose your meal, samosa, rice,... More

This restaurant was a nice surprise to us. We were hungry and there was no other place opened around our hotel at 11 PM. I would highly recommend the lamb curry or chicken curry which were my choices on this place. Drink, food and dessert costed us no more than 15€.

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
