If you are going to break the golden rule and not eat the local/regional cuisine while you're traveling in said area, (e.g. Eritrean in Bergen or Japanese in Rome) then you have found the right place. Tucked away in a lovely neighborhood of Rome minutes from the Euclide metro stop, this place is a great hole-in-the-wall joint to get sushi... More

Daruma is located just off Piazza Euclide, with about 5 indoor & 2 outdoor tables. The primary business seems to be take away, with a constant stream of customers. We dined in. The service is friendly & all the staff we dealt with spoke good English. The sushi is made to order. The range is not huge, but the cross... More

Let me start by saying that some of the reviews of this place seem awfully suspicious. The staff was super friendly and got my group of 5 seated within about ten minutes, even though the place was full. The sushi menu is extensive and there are some creative options that I hadn't seen before. In addition to the delicious rolls... More

This take away Japanese restaurant is not my cup of tea. First of all, I love Japanese cooking. For getting in this place and finding neither fresh fish nor hot dishes was depressing. In addition everything was expansive! Anyway I bought something for dinner (you know, if you do want to have Japanese food nothing can stop you!). Once I... More

The best sushi-take away in Rome. You can also buy original japanese products like tea, wasabi, sweets and so on. I recommend it!

Staying in Parioli

Neighbourhood Profile
Parioli
Young and well-to-do families are the street flavour of Parioli. A new kind of Rome, this area is centuries away from the Renaissance with its pockets of 1930s palaces, tony boutiques, open-air markets and plenty of coffee shops. Parioli was built as an enclave for last century’s haute bourgeois and still represents as such in 21st century Rome. Need a break? The area has several great sporting clubs known for tennis and riding, a wonderful modern art museum, easy access to the zoo (Europe’s oldest), and is nestled around Rome’s very best parks including Villa Borghese, Villa Ada and Villa Glori.
