Delicious authentic Italian / Roman dishes, in presence of owner / chef fabrizio who personally oversees prep and service... A very pleasant experience, cacio e pepe is highly recomended to try...

Nicely prepared. Fresh, genuine article. Sorta 'low-brow' family decoration, but clean enough. All Italian clientele. Would return.

It has a really good Italian atmposphere and dishes also appreciate being an Italian restaurant. I have tried rigatoni with mushroom and it was amazing. Despite the restaurant was a little crowded, it was not noisy and disturbing. Personnel was gentle and concerned.

We wandered into this gem exhausted after a long day exploring and it was like settling down at a family dinner - welcoming staff who teased the kids, making them smile. The food was excellent - their special truffle pasta was the ultimate comfort food. We savored a long dinner, ending with the perfect sampler dessert - a truly relaxing... More

What a fantastic restaurant! We had bruschetta and ham/peccorino as starter. Delicious! As main course we had pasta with truffels and beef in oil, garlic and rosemary. AMAZING is the only way to describe it! Housewine, both red and wine, was good. Affordable hidden pearl in Trastevere!

Lovely dinner, all though we were really early (7.30pm, due to our personal time schedule) and therefore were pretty much alone. But we didn't let that bother and had the best meal in Rome. Especially tiramisu was delicious! Excellent service. We recommend this place highly and went there because our new friend Totti, the nice black dog (and her care... More

This restaurant is a superb place to eat. It is somewhat anonymous, but go inside an experience a great meal and super service. The waiter was so pleasant and genuin. We had the Tagliata and it came on a hot plate, cooking by the table.

Fabrizio has received a lot of good reviews for his food and service in the small restaurant in Trastevere. I can only vouch for the service as I found the food too greasy and not very interesting vs what you pay in similar restaurants in the area. The only course that passed as I can see it was the Penne... More

We was in Rome whole week and this is our choice for coming back. Food was delicious, especially big bowl of pasta. Perfect, inconspicuous restaurant - definitely worth to visit in Trascevere.

Second time here. Food was still excellent, prices a little bit above average but it's in Trastevere and the portions are quite generous. Waiter was helpful and overall a very pleasant dinner. A vote down for the AC, the heat was just too extreme, profusely sweating. It was quite a few degrees warmer than outside, it felt actually 'cold' to... More

Staying in Trastevere

Neighbourhood Profile
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
