STECCOLECCO, Rome

We were eating next door at Cacio e Pepe and our friends' toddler discovered SteccoLecco. He insisted on going there for dessert and we're so glad he did! The have a beautiful assortment of gelato popsicles, smoothies and gelato bonbons. We each got a popsicle...and they were so delicious and fresh. My husband actually had to get a second one to try another flavor and our friend had 3 of them!! We enjoyed it so much that we went back a few nights later on our last night in Rome. If you see SteccoLecco while you're touring Rome, definitely give it a try. You'll be glad you did.More

Tasty ice cream popsicles

Got a popsicle here on a whim and was joyfully surprised by the amazing textures and flavors! Given gelato here is the norm, these offer just as many (if not more) textures and flavor varieties. Granted, at a flavor per pop, they are pricier, they...are definitely worth it. Highly recommend watermelon for a refreshing snack on a hot summer day and pistachio for a nuttier and creamier night out.More

OMG

These pops were to die for. We had mango and a lemon one. Mouth watering taste, fab on a hot day. Def recommend Will have the bon bons next time

Yummy yummy ice pops

These ice pops was just as good as they looked. After buying one ice pop each (vanilla with dark chocolate and pistachio and mango/maracuja with dark chocolate and coconut) we had to go back and get two more (strawberry and coffee). They were just too...good and the only problem is that it's hard to choose between all the different sorts.More

Best treat in Rome

We visited this hidden treasure trove of gelato treats four nights in a row. The ice cream is magnificent - we can recommend the strawberry dipped in dark chocolate and the ganduiotto in particular. The staff are delightful and even gave us a free tasting...box. A highlight of our trip to Rome! And it's a few doors down from Cacio i Pepe so make sure you come here for dessert.More

A 'gelato' to remember forever

Icecream Going back to our old good days!!

Great experience Thank you guys, i enjoyed it and wished to try all different flavours. I had two! I started with the classic cream adding dark chocolate and halzenut topping! Delicious!! I then moved to an halzenut icecream with cream on top. And i did...not try any fruit flavour yet! This is not only an icecream as it brings you back when the "gelato da passeggio" was on the spot.More

Old type cremini ( a traditional Italian ice cream not often found nowadays) in various tastes and selection of glazing. Worth a try.

Delicious made to order gelato on a stick!

This small shop offers a wide range of gelato flavours. The gelato is moulded onto a stick and you can choose to have it plain or dipped in white, milk or dark chocolate. If covered in chocolate, you can also choose to have it further...dipped in nuts or various other sprinkles. You end up with the most amazing pureed fruit ice lolly made exactly to your order in front of your very eyes. The man who served us also looked like he enjoyed making his product a lot. It's a pity we only discovered this place the day we were leaving. My family and I are gelato addicts and the Steccolecco was among the best we had in Rome! I think children would enjoy not just the eating but also the designing of their ice lollies!More
