They sell Pizza by weight, no seating area, stand and eat outside. Get coupon then wait for your number and upon being called place order and pay. Its expensive considering Pizza is from Italy and also considering prices & serving portions at other restaurants in Italy. Consider spending atleast 50 Euro for 2 persons. They sell expensive pizza slice. We liked pizza and supli (deep fried).

Close enough to the Vatican Museums entrance (and current exit given COVID) that the walk isn’t so bad. The pizza is not classic Roman or Neapolitan style but something different, thicker but with a crisp crust. I suspect as with most variations on pizza you love it or you hate it (looking at you Chicago deep dish). Large variety of toppings and you pay by weight so ask for the size slices you want. If you’re lucky like us you can snag a table right outside, grab a few beers and eat in the shade during a hot Roman summer.

We went to Bonci during our trip to the Vatican - it was a short walk away (approximately 15 minutes from the museums) but well worth the walk. The pizzas were delicious - all very fresh, with lots of cheese and an amazing focaccia base. And great value too! They weigh the pizza to determine the price, so it was easy to try a few different types. The restaurant was well-organised, with limited numbers allowed inside at a time for ordering, as well as different bins for compost, recycling, etc. It would have been nice to be able to sit down outside, but the tall tables for standing were convenient nonetheless.

We just visited this place today. Overpriced, cold, untested, no flavour at all...all of our pizzas which we’ve chosen tested exactly the same. That’s our first trip to Rome and I thought I will be blown up because of your original and unique cousin. I was wrong ! Much better pizza is in our UK Pizza Hut.

My girlfriend forced me to try this out after the Netflix hype. I'm Italian. I'm disappointed. The pizza is slightly above average, good crust, good ingredients, some horrifying combinations but i guess that's the marketing. However, it's definitely not worth the two hour wait, the disorganized ordering of pizzas, the overly priced and overly heavy arancini with Carbonara. I'd eat It again only after max 20min wait and, tbh, I'd get just the Margherita. The others are more focaccias.

Waited for more than an hour which felt like a waste of time in what could have been a lovely day in Rome. Not a clear system to queue. The service was extremely slow. The pizza was okay but nothing insanely special although the spaguetti arancini were lovely. Still, not worth the long wait, cannot even enjoy the food sitting down/standing as there is very little space. Do not recommend. Instead go to another restaurant where the treat you nicely and where you can enjoy delicious pizza sitting down and unstressed.

It's different from most Roman pizza, both in the crust (thicker and chewier) and the rotating range of toppings. You pay by the kg, so it can end up costing much more than pizza in Italy usually does if you get carried away. (A piece that you can hold/eat in one hand costs about as much as a whole Neapolitan-style pizza in most places.) But so good! It's right by the Cipro metro station, so very convenient on the way to/from the Vatican Museums. There are tables out front where you can stand and eat.

They claim they have the best dough and there might be something to that. It was such a crispy, crunchy dough that was then covered with ooey, gooey toppings. Never had a potato and sausage pizza before and turned out it was amazing. The sausage was perfect. There isn't a lot of space outside so you have to eat the pizza standing or on the move. It's far removed from the historic center of Rome and you can find great pizza elsewhere. if you really like a good pizza and want to have a food vacation, I think it's worth a visit.

Had pizza here with a foodie tour, so we tasted several pizzas. They were all fantastic. From what I understand there are different combinations everyday with just a couple of constants. The crust is the star but the innovative flavors they put together shine just as brightly. I would say that this is a must do on your Rome trip. I don't get the overrated reviews, unless they are looking for something that tastes like Dominoes with that awful crust. Not gonna happen here. There are a million and one pizza shops in Rome, so I can't tell you it's the best, but I've never had crust like this one.

It's good pizza, but probably at this point, it's fame is bringing in more people than the taste of the actual pizza. It is supposed to be authentic pizza from Naples, and I am sure that it is. There are a lot of choices and the ingredients seem fresh and flavorful. The downsides are that there is really no place to sit and eat, you have to take it to go or find some bench/wall where you can sit and eat. And the neighborhood is not particularly decent for that. Bottom line, if you are in the area, stop by and get some pizza. But if you are not, don't need to make a trek to go and get it.

Had seen it covered by Anthony Bourdain and had read some of the reviews here before (both good and bad). Frankly can't believe some of the bad reviews in terms of quality. The wait I can believe. But they do have a ticketing system so you just wait for your number. There's no seating, but there's some counter space outside. The sidewalk is quite wide here and its a quiet street. Oddly enough I didn't seek the place out but came upon it by chance as I was looking for a Panificio (bakery in Italian) and the one closest my hotel had closed. The wait on an October Saturday at 2pm was about 20 minutes, I think more so because there was a large group in front of us that must of ordered everything on the menu. And it looked GOOD! In the end we wanted the traditional roman white pizza (with potatoes) but they were still baking the next batch that we went with the typical with pomodoro. It was very tasty. Crunchy yet soft crust and sweet, tangy pomodoro. Was it the best. Not sure because we had some very good elsewhere but it was definitely very good. I think they do get very creative with their toppings.

We had to walk a good half an hour from the Castle to the pizzarium which is the other side of the Vatican, but it was worth it. The options for the pizza squares are varied, we had one with sausage and tomato on, and one with different cheeses and onion on. The base was lovely and crusty and the toppings were delicious. We also had the classic suppli which was again delicious. Highly recommended.

I hunted this place out as an escape from the crowds of the Sistine chapel and was hungry and ready to find a well regarded pizzeria. Sadly I was let down. As per the previous advisor’s review, the pizza was tasteless. The pizza’s looked appealing kerbside as I awaited my order number to be called (about 15 minutes) but after choosing a mozzarella and tomato and a tomato and fungi with a spaghetti pomodorro suppli, it was only the suppli I was pleased to spend money on. The suppli came out hot and had a merry middle. The pizza came out barely warm - ‘Luke warm’ would have been gladly appreciated. And the pizza aside from having a crispy bite had no flavour. I threw half of it in the bin hoping to find somewhere to redeem it for supper.

We waited for more than 1,5 hour only to be disappointed. Was it pizza? No not really it was more a bread like consistency with a topping. Not an italian pizza. The flavours were weird and didn’t taste great. The piece of pizza was cut with scissors only to be heated up again, in which they switched our pieces with someone else’s so we only got half of the stuff we ordered. They weigh the pizza and charge a ridiculous amount of money for it. There is also no place to sit down and eat your pizza. It is located in a very littered smelly street, most of it their own waste. So not very environmental friendly. The owner was busier with taking pictures and selfies with his customers than baking a good pizza. It was just a big joke and disappointment. I would recommend everyone to stay far away from this place and get your real italian pizza somewhere else.

The setup is basically a counter where you order and then you eat outside. The pizza is so good that is absolutyely worth going for it. An option is to buy it there and it eat it somehwer else or on the go as most locals do.
