Very nice place, close to pantheon and trevi, family run, not pushy, very good service and friendliness. This is a good place to go with very good simple food. Try the fried artichoke for starters - very good between people!

We stopped here after looking over the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps. The restaurant is not the touristy types. We may have been the only English speaking people in the restaurant. The fascinating thing was that the wines were all kept on shelves that hung on the wall over the tables. There were thousands of bottles and the... More

The most delicious food and wine served by the lovely staff of Antonios. The pasta was amazing and the tiramisu was heaven.

We booked a table last Saturday for a group of friends. 3 of us came on time and where given the table. When we arrived the owner was telling a group of young people without reservation that they did not have a table for them. Then they realised that the group was larger than ours (7 vs 5 people), and... More

When in Rome, you can't miss having dinner at Antonio al Pantheon. Delicious traditional food in a nice environment few meters away from the Pantheon. If you visit, you must try the homemade Tirsamisu. The best in the world.

We were eating dinner on a Saturday night. We got here because of the busy night in other places.. The lady was not so nice. The food was not so good, oily and did not taste any special. At the end we got a hand written receipt imposible to understand. We could pay with credit card... wonder why.. We were... More

A friend recommended this place to us and when we arrived, we were treated like FAMILY from the moment we told Antonio our friend sent us! There were no tables so Antonio served us a glass of wine and with a sweet smile told us to wait outside for a bit. Once we were finally seated, he offered us complimentary... More

Authentic Italian dishes served quickly by a friendly , energetic owner and his efficient staff. This very small place is often packed. So get there early for fresh pasta and artichokes. Well done ! Grazie tante ! Ciao !

Our visit to this restaurant was a welcomed change in a busy street close to the Pantheon were the other restaurants bouncers works hard to pull you in. It was also one of the reasons why we chose this restaurant, it appeared more genuinely Italian that the other tourist traps around. We were quite early (19.30) on a Saturday evening,... More

What a gem in the centre of Rome I firstly visited this restaurant 5 years ago with my partner. We were attracted into the restaurant by the strong smell of truffles in the street (which is always a good sign) once we got inside we faced a rare genuine and authentic restaurant in a touristic area. We were so overwhelmed... More

Staying in Colonna

Neighbourhood Profile
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very centre of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping centre, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
