It's difficult nowadays to find good quality restaurant with honest price. I know Taverna Cestia since 30 years and it still maintains its reputation. They serve traditional food with good, fresh ingredients and very very reasonable portions. We were 4 persons and we ordered 3...More

Taverna Cestia has an extensive menu, ranging from Pizza and pasta through to full Italian meals. The quality of the food is excellent and their Prosecco is fantastic! We had a lively and amusing waiter which added to the fun. Good value for money too.

Old neighborhood restaurant, always packed with locals. For my money, still the best pizza in Rome. Pastas are also great. Prices very reasonable. The pasta servings are huge, so recommend you split one order for two people (the staff will gladly serve on two plates)...More

It was the only restaurant open on Sunday noon near Ostiense Station so we didn't have other choice. The truth is that the food was good, we have two pastas 10€ each, in our opinion too expensive for what was offered. They asked us if...More

Had a lovely meal here. Would highly recommend. Very friendly staff. We've tried a lot of restaurants in Rome but the fresh pasta here was amazing.

I went to Taverna Cestia with a large group, and while the staff was very accomodating, service was a bit slow. I had the zucchini flower fritters and fried artichokes to start, which were terrific. I then ordered the pasta Amatriciana for my second course,...More

Wound up near the Piramide metro station, time to eat... seemed like a good place to sit and eat a bit. Tried inside, sent outside. A seemingly friendly waiter came and asked if we needed some translation of the menu. I know he thought he...More

My wife found this place and brought me back with our son and his girlfriend. We really enjoyed it. Some great artichoke dishes! Enjoy! Buon Appetito!

Contrary to the chaos of the city, the Aventine is
Rome’s oasis. A neighbourhood made up of a patchwork
