I guess it will be pretty hard to miss a good dining experience in Parma as the restaurants are relying heavily on their fantastic world famous hams and cheeses. Also at Gallo d'oro the quality of the charcuterie was world class. If this is prosciutto, what is it that I am eating at home.... ? The pasta (regional specialty) was... More

Been there after a nice aperitivo in the must see via Farini. The place is located in the very center of Parma so really great if you want to have a walk before or right after dinner. Very "classic" interiors but still part of its being traditional in my opinion. We had a starter with a selection of local ham... More

I saw the restaurant's signboard while walking down the main street and we took our chance. It was packed with Italians, formally dressed probably having their lunch break there. The atmosphere was lovely, the paintings on the walls, the cutting board preparations rightin the middle of the restaurants really made us feel that we are in a genuine Italian restaurant.... More

Just off Via Farini on a corner of two alleys is this restaurant. We arrived quite early and it didn't look busy but within 20 minutes it was packed and people were waiting for tables. So it's best to book. I had veal with plums which was very nice and we had the house wine which was ok. The staff... More

We were warmly greeted upon arrival, and showed to a bright corner table. We expected good food but were stunned by the exceptional quality of cooking, especially for 2 dishes- their Pork cheek with Balsamic vinegar and the melanzane ( aubergine). Words cannot describe the complexity n great balance of these dishes. The service was consistently good and friendly. Smiles... More

First of all be sure to book if you want to eat here at the weekend, because it's very popular with the locals and will fill up. Friendly welcome, quick to be seated and given menus. The staff are efficient and friendly, and even when busy will explain the menu if you need. There is a good choice of authentic... More

Very quiet place, we came very early as they opened.... Had the best ever Melanzane alla parmigiana - if you are there you must try it. Also the very special Torta Fritta with the proscuitto com parmigiano is a must.

Great menu that reflects the very best of dining in the City Centre. Lambrusco goes well with just about everything. Drink, eat and enjoy the fantastic ambiance of a great restaurant.
