We went there for lunch spontaneously after long walk. We tried ćevapčići and pasta bolognese and it was tasty! The place is good and we would probably come again! Great atmosphere, in the heart Of the city :)

My wallet got stolen while having dinner at La Tecia We took a street table right in front of an ATM machine, which has a camera. So we would have expected them to offer to check the camera and inform the police if they saw how the robbery took place. The dinner was definitely not worth what we paid for... More

Just OK! Nothing very special! The quality of the food was normal! The waitress was OK! And the food was fast.

In the city center, not a touristic restaurant as usual. Not so big but with a glade availability of open-air table, it offers a short selection of typical dishes and good local wine. But it needs a bit of patience. And also the bill is kind, no bad.

Asked for an aperitivo which was served without nothing, I then asked if we could have something to eat together. They then brought out some crisps I thought maybe they will bring after some olives and something else to nibble. After asking they then brought a piece of bread with a slice of ham. Service very slow had to wait... More

I came to La Tecia for dinner with a few friends visiting Trieste from abroad, and my partner who is a local. Clearly, the waiting staff quickly made the calculated decision that we were a group of foreigners who they didn't need to make any effort for, however. This attitude seems to be confirmed by the other recent reviews on... More

While holidaying in Slovenia and Croatia, my husband and I decided to make a pit stop in Trieste, Italy en route from Lake Bled to Istria. It was getting late in the afternoon and we worried that the restaurants might close for lunch. We unfortunately stumbled across La Tecia which had a nice-looking terrace and lots of people. I had... We had lunch here with my brother, who eats here quite often. I liked the atmosphere inside, although it was a pretty hot July day. We shared the baccala appetizer and had for myself the grilled calamari and shrimp, which was sublime, and a crema catalana (creme brulee) for dessert, which was made at the moment I ordered, so it...
