Nice place, with typical Italian trattoria atmosphere. Food just average and too expensive. I'm afraid that we will not come back

Sardines? Six whitebait! 4 euros for a manky salad; cover charge for not very nice bread. All very expensive and poor quality

So, we walked I and were assigned a table. Right after ordering (nothing on the table yet) we asked to sit closer to the side of the terrace. We were told that was impossible as the only available tables were for 5 or 6 people. Not entirely friendly, but acceptable. However, right after a couple comes in and gets assigned... More

This is a delightful restaurant with great atmosphere and a typically Italian menu. We had a lovely meal and found all the ingredients to be extremely fresh and well prepared. We had a nice bottle of the local Chardonnay and the entire meal was extremely well priced. The staff are delightful and could not have been more helpful and gracious.... More

The food and service were good enough but I think they over charge for the food considering what it is. We ordered seabass which was the smallest seabass ever fished and we ordered pasta with sardines which might have had 2 sardines chopped up into a small bowl of pasta. The seabass did not come with anything else so we ordered... The quality of the food is not very high. Extreme basic cuisine. They also charge 4€ for bread, which they take away and refill without asking. Even if you havent finished the first basket yet, they brought a second and charged another 4€...

I only agree in part with the negative reviews. I was glad to find a place that was open late afternoon and after a not so exciting experience in one of the cities buffets I appreciated the more restaurant like atmosphere. All tables taken the service was a bit disorganized and I witnessed a family waiting quite long for being... More

Just had dinner at La Piazzetta, disaster from the start, beer came in chipped glass, spaghetti alle vongole has bit of shell in it. Grilled zucchini limp and bitter, green salad had only one type of lettuce. Gnocchi was a very small serve and just lukewarm. Bread was not the usual crusty bread served in Italian restaurant, sardines tasteless.

We ate lunch here while waiting to get into our accommodation round the corner. In that respect, the location was convenient and an outside table afforded us views of the passers-by. The food filled a gap, but it was not of the quality we had expected; so-so at best. The service was adequate.

It was late in the afternoon and this was the only restaurant open. Our orders were spaghetti vongole, spaghetti with sardines, spaghetti with a kind of fish and lasagna. The rest of my family thought afterwards that we could have cooked our dishes better. My lasagna was quite alright. I think the pasta was homemade at least. Not a bad... More
