Unfriendly waitress. Quite expensive: pasta with 10 clams and invisible bottarga for €22 and a pasta dish with an unpeeled crab on top for €23. My wife managed to peel the crab on top of her plate and ended up with pieces of shell inside. It must be admitted that the pasta was good but rather expensive because it was necessary to add €4 per person in cover costs, so 2 pasta dishes at €53 and the smile of the waitresses must surely be extra....

It is the perfect restaurant for a quiet and relaxing dinner overlooking the sea. We ate two traditional appetizers, lean cappun and octopus, excellent and light, the first courses were also tasty and tasty, spaghetti with clams and bottarga. We felt spoiled, reasonable prices for the service offered, highly recommended

We came here the night, we arrived in Manarola and couldn’t be more happy! The restaurant has an outdoor space and an indoor location, it’s been a bit windy so we choosed the indoor option by the window. All we can say: We loved the friendliness of the staff, we had a great menue with pasta, fresh fish and of course dessert. The wine list contains several wines from the area but also from Alto Adige and Sicily - you‘ll find a good one for your taste!
We enjoyed our visit as a start of our Easter holiday 24 so much, we returned the night before we left and weren’t disappointed.
Would definitely visit again and enjoy the hospitality and quality of the food & wine here. Christian & Torsten, Berlin/Germany

I was on vacation in the "Cinque Terre" with my family. It is a very characteristic place; We ate in front of the sea. As a starter, I chose octopus that had a potato and saffron cream... delicious! Then, as a first course, I ordered pasta with clams and bottarga, also delicious. Lastly, we ordered a mixed fry to share: crispy and delicious. The waiters are friendly and attentive. My cousin has celiac disease and the waiters were very considerate of her; He was able to choose between different dishes and there are also gluten-free pasta options. The bill is good, it is not the typical tourist restaurant; The quality-price ratio is perfect. Highly recommended!

Right in front of Manarola beach/marina, on the main square, lies this restaurant on a second floor and a gorgeous view. The waiters are always on the rush, but they never loose their smile.
We started with fresh Mimosas and white wine, that came perfectly cold. We all ordered sea food dishes: a grilled fish with eggplant and asparagus, a seafood stew and my delicious lobster pasta with heirloom tomatoes that I enjoyed very much.
I read in other reviews that customers felt rushed, but that was not our case. We enjoyed the view, chatting, and finished our bottle peacefully. We also saw the waitresses helping all tables taking pictures.

My recent visit to the restaurant “Alla Marina” was, unfortunately, a great disappointment. Drawn by the praise received regarding their seafood cuisine, I decided to try the fish dish of the day, specifically trofie with crab. Given the high price range, I expected a memorable dining experience, but the reality was quite different.
The dish arrived looking discreet, but already at first taste I was shocked. The pasta was drowned in an excessive amount of cream, which completely covered the delicate flavor of the fish. It was impossible to appreciate the freshness and quality of the marine ingredients, hidden under a thick and oppressive layer of cream.
The overall taste of the dish was flat and monotonous, with no balance between flavors. Positive note for cooking trofie.
In a restaurant of this caliber, I would have expected more attention to detail and a cuisine capable of enhancing raw materials. Unfortunately, the experience was not worth the exorbitant asking price. If you are looking for a place to enjoy a good plate of pasta with fish, I highly recommend looking elsewhere.
It didn't meet my expectations. I was hoping for a refined and quality dinner, but I left the restaurant with much unhappiness and a sense of dissatisfaction that I never imagined to feel in such a renowned place.

Went for dinner for a girls night out. The second we sat down we were constantly rushed to order when we didn’t even open the menu yet (we were the only ones in the restaurant) . Once the food arrived it was not good. Fish didn’t taste fresh muscles seemed frozen prior to cooked. Don’t think we’ll be going back.

Enviable but undervalued location.
The setting of the place is "touristy", fearing fluff but in reality of little substance. The quality of the dishes is of a commercial nature, trying to disguise it with an overly sophisticated plating.
The staff is relatively friendly.
Prices definitely too high for what is served.
We definitely won't be returning.

As soon as dinner is over I want to leave my review because I really enjoyed it. First of all, a fabulous location for a dinner in front of the sunset over the sea of Manarola. Dishes that are not at all banal in a highly touristy place. We hope foreigners can appreciate the all-Italian quality in the dishes (but they drink coca cola instead of the delicious local wine). We had spaghetti with clams, tuna ingots and fish stew with seafood and it was all really very good: made the shoe... very nice place but sufficiently informal: you feel at ease. Friendly and helpful owner and waiters. Thanks for the lovely evening.

With the new management, a positive change of direction is immediately noticeable. Staff with livery, new "mise en place", renewed menu. The spaces are clean, adequate and well distributed. The staff is courteous and smiling, the dishes are well calibrated and of good quality as well as good-looking. Definitely recommended,.... finally!

I have known Cinqueterre for more than 50 years and live there for many months of the year. We had dinner in the historic windowsill on the sea. Next to us the setting sun. Attentive reception and cordiale.Ambiente clean with large spaces between tables. We savored Ligurian cuisine enriched by love for details and colors with dishes not only beautiful but also rich in scents and flavors with correct portions.
From appetizers to pasta, tuna crust to desserts everything was perfect.

Restaurant with a nice view and a nice terrace. Waitresses not very welcoming, but their patience must be put to the test with all tourists.
The dishes are good, but the quantity is a bit right. Awards are quite high but at the same time it is the Award to eat on the terrace in Manarola.

Table overlooking the Manarola marina. We ate a first course of the day with fish and a second course with sesame tuna and caramelized onions. To finish, two desserts. All very good. Impeccable service. The staff always smiling and kind. Overall the price reflects the quality.

A good restaurant by the sea in Manarola. Sit in the covered outside area and enjoy the evening sun. The homemade pasta is excellent -- we had the pappardelle with zucchini flowers and mussels. Service was good with a few rough spots. For wine, we had the Cantina Crovara from the local area.

I ate with my wife on the veranda overlooking the sea. The place is nice and clean, the staff are friendly and the dishes are excellent. We ordered the octopus and the lean cappun (a typical dish of Ligurian cuisine), followed by spaghetti, clams and bottarga, all accompanied by the house wine. For dessert I ordered the lemon curd: a shortcrust pastry tart filled with lemon cream with a meringue mousse: delicious!
Competent price considering the dishes chosen.
I hope to return to Manarola to try more dishes from Alla Marina.
