The place itself is really cozy, so we were disappointed by the poor service (we had to wait 20 min just to order and have some water once sat) and the final bill (they cover us for an open bottle of moscato way more than we would have spent for the single glasses, 40€). The dishes are from traditional cuisine... More

We have lunched or dined at Al Vecchio ever time we visited Bergamo. This time it was not different but we focused on our experience and concluded that this intriguing restaurant only cares about good food, wine and service. It is outstanding. The challenge is to find the place as its tucked up a narrow alley off Via San Alessandro.... More

We came back here again, having been here 9 years ago. We were happy to discover that it was as good as we had remembered. We opted for the Bergamasco tasting menu - every dish was delightful. The main course was a steak dish which came with polenta and roast potatoes - I'm sure the polenta was cooked well and... More

I always make a point to eat here every year when I go back to Bergamo. I love the little courtyard where you can have dinner outside, it' so quaint and romantic. Great for big groups and the food is excellent

We were there on a Friday, choosing the place for a meeting with family that we hadn't seen for over a year (we are all from Venezuela but my husband and I have been in Italy for 7 months doing a medical specialty). They would be arriving at Orio del Serio and would continue to Genova the same day, so... More

We had the steak with balsamico and strawberries and the roasted chicken. Nice and honest italian food with great finesse. The tiramisu for dessert was a perfect end to the meal. The staff was great aswell.

This lovely little place is almost hidden down an alleyway, its popular with locals (and we had a recommendation), which is always a good sign. Nice ambience, good Italian food, and good staff who explain the dishes well.......we ate outside in the courtyard, which was nice to do as the weather has been good. Whilst by Uk standards the service... More

We were given this restaurant as a recommendation and as we were only here 2 nights we didn't want to get this wrong. the food was great and although not a traditional view as it was in courtyard, it has a nice atmosphere. A family feel with terrific food and good prices. I had the steak with balsamic vinegar and... More

Very good Italian food with reasonable prices. We had risotto (very popular) and pasta in red sauce. A nice outdoor patio area plus a nice indoor area. Great atmosphere.
