On a wet day when we were looking for an inside option, this wine bar did not disappoint. We arrived around noon and the only table available was at the back. A quick word and lucky timing meant we could swap tables to the front area and then we settled in. The meat and cheese platter for 2 was perfect for lunch, and we kept sampling wine by the glass all afternoon long. Highly recommend, lovely ambiance and terrific food and wines.

Extremely busy spot with nice high tables where you can enjoy typical food and an excellent choice of wines by the glass or bottle served by very competent and professional staff. We have really enjoyed the way the staff tries to understand the wine profile you like and then serves you accordingly. Congratulations and keep on with the good work.

Cute street with innovative seating outdoors and in. Some tables more conducive to dining than others. Don’t know if you can book but we only waited a few minutes on a busy late June Saturday lunchtime. Truly excellent wine, food, service (amazing service) and value. We only scratched the surface of the wine choice. Go inside, have a chat with them, there’s dozens and dozens by the glass and what looked like hundreds of bottles. The waitress was superb and must do 100,000 steps a day, doesn’t write anything down, cleans up, waters the planters on the wall and misses nothing. Good sense of humour. We had the fish selection, sooooo good, risotto, and beef with cheese and pearls of Modena vinegar. Many glasses of franciacorta, rose and red. Very happy and topped off witha bill at a sensible price which seems hard to find in Italy these days

So disappointed. After reading amazing reviews we were very excited to try this restaurant we had ordered a wine tasting in the local region and a cheese and meat board for two both the wine and cheese and meat board were good. However, the service was horrendous. At first I felt bad because I felt like the staff was overwhelmed however, I realized they were microwaving the pasta and there is no kitchen at all. Do not order the food if you’re coming to Italy from America, like myself and my partner, you can find better food literally anywhere else. The food containers and looked like Stouffer‘s mac & cheese, and lasagna packets. And keep in mind they were sitting out in the open for me to see you when I walked to the bathroom after my food did not arrive for over two hours.

I had a really disappointing experience at this wine restaurant. Me, my girlfriend and a friend went for lunch. I ordered a glass of Oltrepò Pavese classic method. As soon as I tasted it, I pointed out to the waitress that the wine had a strange taste, different from what I expected from a wine of that type, and that I couldn't drink it. His response was dry and peremptory: "the wine is perfect, we taste them all before serving them". He gave me no chance to respond, claiming that the problem was my palate and my lack of knowledge about wines. I would like to point out that, although I am not a sommelier or a winemaker, I often drink wine, especially classic method. I have to say that the food and other glasses of wine were good. During lunch, the waitress asked us if everything was okay, and I replied that yes, everything was okay except my wine. When paying, I also had to pay for the glass that I didn't drink. The thing that made me most angry was that, while I was paying, I saw his colleague happily decanting bottles of wine. If I hadn't seen this scene, I might have thought that the wine was bad because of the producer. In one fell swoop, the waitress managed to anger a customer and put the product of a winery that most likely produces excellent wines in a bad light. Kudos for your amazing customer management!

Went here due to the excellent reviews. If you're a seasoned traveller that expects good manners and consideration, then so-called excellent reviews not to be believed. Firstly, all manner of cured meat and cheese is excellent in Italy. It doesn't get THAT much better, especially in a cramped little eatery run by arrogant owner/staff targeting unbeknown tourists with exceptionally high prices. The owner/waiter poured a skimpy glass of wine (more like a taster version) followed by a rushed version of what was presented as prosciouttu and cheese. We requested some olive oil (to disguise the hard stale accompanying bread) to which same owner stated the following "but why do you want olive oil?" He shook his head in disgust, walked away, came back and plonked a tablespoon worth of olive oil on our table. He ignored us to such an extent that we had to go to the front desk to pay. Tip to owner: Arrogance, complacency and decision making on behalf of your customer does not make for a pleasant experience. We found some excellent eateries a small distance away from Bellagio where owners displayed excellent patronage and offered brilliant food for half the price - with a view!

Lovely little cellar bar just off one of the many winding streets that climb the hill in Bellagio old town. The reviews we read were great and so we thought we would drop in for a glass or two of local vino and to book a table for that evening. We dropped down to the bar and I asked the first member of staff I saw if we could book a table and he directed me to his manager behind the bar. I asked her the same and she said no bookings. I then said so if we can’t book then what is the best time to arrive and she then said how would I know. A bit rude but I put it down to maybe a long day for her. I then asked if we could order some wines and which point she wafted me away with a hand towards the table with yes if you like following us. The rest of the staff were lovely and the wines were great, but then we noticed how attentive she was to other customers, laughing and joking with them, even when on gentleman was rude to her when she tried to clear a table. I can only think she took a dislike to what we were wearing (shorts & t-shirts) or god forbid the fact we were English, no one else in the establishment was. Whatever it was she made us uncomfortable and we did not go back that evening. I would not recommend a visit as a customer she never be made to feel unwelcome.

Stopped here for a glass of Prosecco while visiting the city. It is on a side street with a couple of chairs outside on the steps, looking quite lovely. Inside is a bit bigger and looks magnificent all in wood with plenty types of wine. They had daily wines in glasses, the prosecco we tried was quite good and the service was great, we even got a couple of small sandwiches with it. By far the nicest looking restaurant/wine bar we saw there and I would visit again if in the region.

I had researched here back in the uk when planning our holiday & it truly surpassed my expectations. It is an amazing cellar wine bar/restaurant that is full to the brim with wine. Everywhere you look there are wine bottles. We were warmly greeted & shown to a table. The people working there were all incredibly charming & thoroughly explained food & drink options. We decided to pick just individual glasses of wine & all our choices were fabulous, but then I don’t think they stock any bad choices. For food we had a meat platter & a cheese platter to share along with the juiciest & huge olives from Puglia. Absolutely love this place & completely recommended.

I visited here for two consecutive nights with friends. For medical reasons I am unable to eat meat or cheese. They all ordered meat platters and I requested some bread and oil, which the lovely member of staff agreed to. When only bread was delivered, I queried this with the other man (now known as the owner) who made a rude comment to me and refused to bring oil. The bread was extremely dry so I waited to have a snack elsewhere, despite already paying for it. The following evening we came back again for wine, which admittedly was very nice, but the owner was once again extremely rude. He knew I was unable to eat meat and declared that I was doing this for attention. I politely asked why I was not allowed some olive oil when there were numerous bottles on display, and he responded with multiple expletives and explained his opinion that oil should only be paired with certain foods. I told him I was unable to eat these foods and he told me to f**k off. He also said I shouldn't have ordered orange wine without cheese but didn't say this at the time of taking my order, so don't go here if you want any friendly service or recommendation from the 'experts' - just a judgemental, stuck up service. To reiterate, his colleague was lovely and I wish it was only him working both evenings!

Six of us had a wine tasting last week at Enoteca Cava Turacciolo, which was recommended by our hotel. This is a small wine bar tucked into the stairs in Bellagio. Mateo was our guide for the Tasting and helped us with the menu to pick out what was best suited to each of our party. Mateo was incredibly knowledgeable about all of the wines - highlighting the importance of each one that we tasted. It was so fun to hear his detailed information about each glass. We also enjoyed 2 big charcuterie boards filled with bread, meats & cheeses from the region. I’m so pleased that Hotel Belvedere recommended this as it was the perfect complement to our visit to Lake Como.

Terrible service. We got insults after tasting a single glass of wine, even though we actually ordered it. The waiter said the other guests can’t have a taste and must order, “because there are 7 more tables” (wtf?!). He was rude and we preferred to leave on the spot. Very rude of him. Don’t got there.

We came to this delightful restaurant and were given a very warm welcome by the charming young man who served us! He suggested wines, I have to admit I fell in love with mine! We started our meal with a plateau of cold meats, ie salami, ham, etc accompanied by 3 types of Italian cheese, all of which were fresh and tasty. I followed with roast beef and Parmesan shavings, plus tiny pearls of balsamic vinegar, which resembled caviar but had a slightly sweet taste. Absolutely delicious. I cannot wait to return to Belleagio, more especially our now favourite Italian restaurant!

Casual wine bar with endless options. We visited every night of our trip and Matteo was an excellent server who had an impressive knowledge of wine and provided other recs for things to do around the area. Can’t go wrong with meat and cheese platter and would suggest sitting outside around sunset. Highly recommend!

This was an excellent find! A small cellar-style wine bar with a vast selection of great local wines. Norberto looked after us so well, relocating us to a cosier table, talking very knowledgeably about the wine choices and ensuring our meals were exactly as we wanted them to be. Food and wine all delicious. Don’t be put off by the short menu- it is all great!
