Very short stop from the local metro station. After long morning walking we stopped of here. I was releaved firstly that most of the menu was under €15 as our lunch the previous day else where was over priced drivel. My partner ordered a slice of pizza and I had the mixed seafood pasta. I couldn't believe the portion sizes!!... More

Imagine running around a beautiful city for the first time not knowing where to eat and stumbling into a so so looking restaurant and ... loving it. The restaurant seems to be run by a family, so nice and welcomed did we feel and righteously so was the place packed during lunch. We ate for 5-8 Euros and drank a... More

Popped into Woodstock today with my 2 girlfriends. We are visiting Milan for a couple of days on a city break and a reunion from our trip to Australia! We found a book in our apartment which gave the lowdown on some ways to keep the cost of our trip to Milan down - it's naturally fairly expensive. We came... More

We ordered a sausage pizza and a salad...and of course a beer. The salad was a nice size and fresh, the pizza was amazing...we loved the crust. Fast and friendly service. This place is a winner!

The service was great, but the food quality was average (at best). I had the risotto with sausage (risotto allo zafferano e salsiccia) and it was acceptable but very salty. For desert I had the semifreddo al tartufo and it was nice. Nothing special. The place is average in my opinion.

After a busy day exploring Milan, we were just heading back from the tram journey and called in for a cold, refreshing drink, we were shown to a table, in one of the many rooms, of this deceptively large bar. We were given menus that had not only beer, cocktails, soft drinks but food as well, initially we decided just... More

Popped into Woodstock 3 as we were looking for somewhere just a bit away from the canal and found Woodstock. Fairly priced and good quality food. They have their stone oven for the pizzas although we both opted for pasta. They had run out of a few items like lasagne but the gnocchi and especially the tagliatelle was very good.

Went there twice, once for lunch and once for dinner. Sat inside and outside. Perfect comfort food. No nonsense and friendly staff. Can't go wrong.

The place is always packed by locals, the food comes out in big servings, the staff are working 100 miles an hour yeat somehow... More

Staying in Navigli

Neighbourhood Profile
The Navigli is part of historic Milan. In the ancient days, the entire city was linked with canals, similar to Venice. Today, most of the canals are gone, but the Navigli remains a canal-based neighborhood. There are two major canals: Naviglio Pavese and Naviglio Grande. The Naviglio Grande's bridges greet visitors at dusk with an amazing view. The Navigli district specializes in clubs, cafes, and vintage shops. Lifestyle reigns supreme here. You can start the walk from the Colonne di San Lorenzo, an antique colonnade in front of the Basilica di San Lorenzo. During the daytime, this place acts as a meeting point for artists and students reading books or chatting with friends; the nights turn it into a stepping-stone for club hoppers. Science lovers will also relish the opportunity to visit the Science and Technology National Museum Leonardo Da Vinci, showcasing inventions of the Italian genius.
