Unwelcoming staff as it looked like that they did not want to have tourists with a child but afterwards the service recovered very well. Probably the best mozzarella I had as a welcome from the chief. I had a very good fried seafood and vegetables. The same is true for the lamb chocks and the osso buco with safran risotto.... More

The place looks nice, so we gave it a go for lunch - first impression- quite a pricy menu. However when the food turned up it was totally exceptional cooking. One of the best Milanese Risottos I have ever eaten, with gold leaf. The lovely Erika had Osso Bucco, again cooked to perfection. Tiramisu for dessert and we were as... More

Right next to the Scala, this restaurant has a special pre opera menu, exquisitely judged in size and just perfect for the occasion. We had a beautifully presented baccala with baked polenta (me), sounds heavy but was light and he had a warm scallop salad, light and deliciously just 'frightened' as scallops should be. Service is geared up to the... More

Choice of dishes is a bit limited but what is on offer is ok for an after Theatre/Opera. Risotto alla Milanese d'oro is always one of the best that one can experience. Vitello tonnato was also unique and and I tried a very fine Sacher torte. Excellent wine list with great choice of fine wines. If you want to try... More

Service was deficient and food was just OK, not very good. The risotto di oro was good, but the filet with sweetbreads was not.

I never expected that this place would make me feel so welcome. What happened was that while arriving too early for a performance at La Scala and wearing a very formal gown for the show, I decided that although Milan is regarded as the fashion capital, I could simply not walk around in my long dress, so I decided instead... In true style, the Italians do know how to serve up a real treat of a meal. We had dinner a Saturday evening around 22.00. We were surprised that the place was almost empty and felt a bit dated in all its red velour curtains and dark wooden floor. You could hear a pin drop and felt rather intimidating when... More

Been there in May 2016 with a friend of mine, stumbled across it randomly. I have to say that the first impression was already disastrous as the waitresses didn't even want to talk to us for some reason. When asking if there are tables we can take (there seemed to be quite a few), she simply replied a short "No."... More

Went for after-theatre meal with my wife, they have no hesitation to accommodate us at late hour. Though menu choices are limited, but the chef do cook all our dishes from fresh. Impressed. Good and attentive staff service, and cuisines prepared are superb. My risotto was delicious

Staying in Centro Storico

Neighbourhood Profile
Centro Storico
The pulsating core of Milan is in Centro. Duomo Square is enclosed by the gothic cathedral, the historic icon of Milan. However, shopping is what draws most crowds to this area. The classy and versatile Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II with luxury boutiques and high quality restaurants will turn any shopping or lunch expedition into a royal experience. Head to the rooftop of the flagship La Rinascente to enjoy the view of the animated square with a panorama of the Duomo. The Corso Vittorio Emanuele II is the street for high-end shopping. Brands of all kinds and street artists attract the attention of all visitors; while at Via Santa Radegonda 16, Luini Panzerotti is a much appreciated street food shop providing unimaginable culinary experiences. If shopping takes its toll on you, consider visiting Castello Sforzesco, a 15th century castle housing several museums. Those looking to relax can go to Parco Sempione, where nature provides respite from the energy of this dynamic and international city.
