Our meal and experience at this lovely restaurant far surpassed anything we imagined to find in Milano. It is owned and personally staffed by a husband and wife who take extreme pleasure in making sure their guests are treated as if they have been invited into their home. We had a fabulous 5 course meal, all expertly made, and spent... More

I go there every time in Milan, friendly service, good eye for detail from the freshest of 'pinzimonios' crudités, to the gleaming fresh fish, to the classic granseola, crab served ready to eat in its shell. Very good wines, and don't miss the apple tart and desserts. A little too quiet the last visit, maybe because of summer, like when... More

For me it's the one and the only fish restaurant in Milan. I'm not speaking about sushi, but Italian cuisine... I go there since 10 years already, I took there many friends, clients and colleagues and it is always perfect. Compliments to all! STRONGLY SUGGESTED.

Cannot be faulted from beginning to end. Absolutely one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. Takes seafood to a new level with imaginative dishes. You will regret not going.

Really enjoyed my meal here. Food and service were both very good. I especially enjoyed my John Dory fish. Would highly recommend.

In 2 we went for dinner and you have a 38 and 55euro menu or order a la carte. Food was yummy and our fish was amazing. But the pasta for 15euros was a very small portion in our mind. I could have eaten double. The fish was 50 euros but again for the price I don't know if it... More

30 and more years of fish in Milan, very good simple plates, with Rocco always there (thanks God) It always starts with Granseola (a kind of crab), and then some warm appetisers .. then I ordered Spaghetti al Nero di seppia (squid ink)... sublime. We ended with with a San Pietro (John Dory) cooked in oven with tomatoes and potatoes...... More

Difficult to find the perfect balance between style, food and price in Milan but this is definitely what I did at the Granseola. Superb hand-made starters and a great variety of main courses. Competent and friendly staff. Price more than fair (approx 60 eur per person)

Excellent fish restaurant near Navilgli District. A nice basket of fresh vegetables welcomes you, the classic starter is the crab, very good spaghetti with sardines and for main, oven clocked San Pietro fish a la Mediterraneo. Finish with a tiramisu and footrest fruits! Don't miss!

Delicious meal, friendly staff, lovely atmosphere. We had a selection of antipasti, starting with their traditional crab shell filled with crab meat, then a selection of raw and cooked fish. Excellent pasta courses and grilled fish mains. All really fresh and absolutely delicious.

Staying in Navigli

Neighbourhood Profile
The Navigli is part of historic Milan. In the ancient days, the entire city was linked with canals, similar to Venice. Today, most of the canals are gone, but the Navigli remains a canal-based neighborhood. There are two major canals: Naviglio Pavese and Naviglio Grande. The Naviglio Grande's bridges greet visitors at dusk with an amazing view. The Navigli district specializes in clubs, cafes, and vintage shops. Lifestyle reigns supreme here. You can start the walk from the Colonne di San Lorenzo, an antique colonnade in front of the Basilica di San Lorenzo. During the daytime, this place acts as a meeting point for artists and students reading books or chatting with friends; the nights turn it into a stepping-stone for club hoppers. Science lovers will also relish the opportunity to visit the Science and Technology National Museum Leonardo Da Vinci, showcasing inventions of the Italian genius.
