We hadn't read a review on this place but thought it looked good and walked in for lunch. Quite cramped for seating but we didn't let that put us off and ordered food. My lasagne was somewhere near the worst I've ever eaten and I've enjoyed a lot of lasagne. Overcooked and rubbery, maybe it had been reheated but it... More

We stopped here a little way north of the Palazzo Brera hoping for some tasty pasta. The lasagne was very dry and looked like it had been over cooked. The carbonara was well seasoned but otherwise nothing special. Highlights were the setting and music...

El Beverin is near the Pinacoteca Di Brera in Milan. We got dragged in by Sergio and waited on by Fernando. But the classic Italian fare was well worth the experience. Excellent service and a great selection of food. And English is spoken.

There are lots of decent places to eat in the quirky Brera district. This isn't one of them. The location is fine and on a chilly November day it was nice to sit under the heat lamps and watch the Sunday morning strollers. That's where the pleasant Sunday lunch-time began and finished. Although the place wasn't busy at 13:45 it... More

We were encouraged to have a drink by their outdoor yeoman, I think his name was Sergio. He was an older gentleman and a charmer (seemingly authentic). He checked up on us a few times. Great bar staff, very friendly. Snacks were great and prices reasonable. Well done!

I had lunch here because their kitchen is open late. Service was Ok but the food was nothing special. They were out of the wine I selected and the one the server suggested was not that good. The scaloppine al limone were rather thick and chewy.

The experience was pleasant, and the service was acceptable. I recommend "Ossobuco alla milanese with risotto, birra rosa Medium Size- with a degree of alcohol means. They charge 3 euros per cover "coperto". The servings were acceptable although the flavors not as expected.

Wish we had more time to come back to this cozy and friendly bar/restaurant. Two bar staff members were super friendly. Nice spread of appetizers served with drinks. Great spot! Merci!

We were approached by a friendly guy as we took a look at the menu on the street. The menu was varied - I opted for the grilled swordfish and my partner, a pizza. The food was tasty, but average. Service was friendly and pleasant. We were given bruschetta on the house which was a nice touch, however they charge... More

We had a great evening with our three children at El Beverin during our recent vacation in Italy. The service was excellent. The staff was extremely friendly and very attentive. Staying in Brera

Neighbourhood Profile
Brera captures the real essence of the city. It is an excellent mix between history and modernity, where tradition meets innovation. Here design and beauty reign. On Via Brera there are the famous Pinacoteca (galleries), the National Gallery of Modern and Antique Art, and the Academy of Fine Arts. Interior design boutiques and intellectual cafes are typical of the district. Walking along Via Madonnina is a must to admire the architecture of buildings and the design stores. On Sundays, going to the local market is an unmissable opportunity for fashion, style and art. Tucked away, there is the Orto Botanico di Brera botanical garden that seems like a painting framed in an ancient fairy structure. Last but not least, it’s worth a visit to Giardini Pubblici Indro Montanelli with its Planetarium, the Civico Museo di Storia Naturale (Natural History Museum).
