This is a crowded small restaurant. When we walked in there was only one table not reserved. Barebones menu. Halal restaurant. Senegalese cooking style. Outstanding beef curry. Some of the best I have had in a long time. Nice change from pasta and pizza. Worth trying to eat there.

For someone who never tried African food in her life I must say I didn't find this bad. However not eating meat I could only try one dish with vegetables and fish. I would recommend it, but I wouldn't go there again for a few months. Not quite my taste. The owner was very nice and happy. Definitely a positive... More

If you wish to try original homemade Senegalese food that's the place in Milan. Great Tchou Curry (add a little hot spice pls) and best drinks as Baobab juice, karma de and Ginger. Prices are very fair. Owner very courteous. The restaurant is the centre of the Senegalese community of Milan.

If you are looking for some authentic Senegalese food, here in Milan, then Ristorante Baobab is the place to go !! Good menu - lots of dishes to choose from, with the base being primarily rice / couscous, meat + vegetables. Lots of spices too - if you like that in your meal. Also, I actually tried some hibiscus juice... More

We found both the host and other patrons very friendly, with a balance of Italians and Africans, including some mixed parties. Baobab and hibiscus infusion cold drinks were very good. Stewed meats - we had chicken and beef - with rice and sauces were OK and very reasonably priced. A pleasant experience if with atmosphere more memorable than food flavours.

It is a small place, short menu, but little interesting dishes and juices to try. The problem is that not all dishes were available and because we wanted something vegetarian we didn't have choice. We got some stowed vegetables with white rise.

We went here because we read about it in a book called "low cost Milano". The place is really simple, but let me say one thing: the food is EXCELLENT. The price is incredible for Milan and the service super nice. We live in Milan and this is def a place we will come back to. Ps: make sure to... More
