Nice and cozy, we had lunch. I followed the suggestion of the chef (strozzapreti with sausage, pumpkin and grated amaretti): not bad however I would have chosen a different kind of pasta. Pork shank with potatoes puree for main, again not bad however it was more boiled than roasted. Tiramisu excellent like an affordable Gutturnio. The table around were looking... More

Best food we had in Milan, the host was very friendly and there is an English translation of the menu available. We felt bad we had had a huge lunch and couldn't try all the courses here. Wine list is very affordable.

We went there for a family celebration and got a special menu. The restaurant is not very large and definitely you need to book in advance. They serve genuine and well prepared and presented food. Is is a family run place, and you get excellent service at a reasonable price

We were in a big party for an office dinner during the week. We started with shared appetizers, with good ham, lardon and local pickles, then everyone ordered to their choice. Dishes were Ok, but I was expecting something better. Prices are reasonable

A cosy little restaurant, charming service and a delicious meal that reminded me of one of my mom's home-cooked dishes. Try ossobucco (with mashed potatoes instead of risotto) - it was amazing. The three courses ended with a nice surprise on the house... Worth a (returning) visit!

We ate the most amazing Rizotto we ever tasted. We took two - one with truffles and one with Gorgonzola and pears. I don't have enough words to describe how good it is. Maybe the best dishes we ate ever, and we go to a lot of restaurants. The service was awful. The waiter was not rude, but he was... More

The cuisine offered by Osteria Al Portone is good regional food and is prepared by a passionate owner. Well situated in the Ca Grande area. The overall experience was pleasant and the risotto was outstanding

Visited for dinner in a party of 7. Reservations made online. We were the only ones in there on a Sunday night. We had massive and unlimited amounts of delicious food - fagioli, lardo, salame, formaggi, pastas, meats, cotoletta Milanese, wine, limoncello, on and on... Torta Cioccolata and tiramisù for dessert. Everything amazing. Everyone loved it. €50/pp Highly recommended!

Excellent servis, the Chef is very nice person who treats you like king and queen :o) He recommended the extra meal that he prepared. He can nicely speak about his food - mostly in italian :o) We had ossobuco with milan risotto, risotto with... More

Staying in Bicocca

Neighbourhood Profile
Bicocca
Although Bicocca is a peripheral district, many visitors will find it appealing. The district is enveloped by the immense Parco Nord (North Park), one of the largest parks in Europe. Inside is the theater Arcimboldi, one of the most important contemporary theaters where concerts and shows are organized. In the same area, there is the University of Milan Bicocca, whose distinct architecture rivals a movie set. Coffee shops, a multiplex and a shopping center are in the campus, along with the Fondazione Hangar Bicocca, one of the most famous museums of Contemporary Art.
