This restaurant-hotel is far from the center of Merano, opposite the train station of Maia Bassa / Untermais; but as we were in a hotel at the Merano central station it was easy to reach, in just 3 minutes by train.
We were placed in the annex, and in the beginning we were the only customers, so we were afraid of being forgotten; but this hasn't happened, and the service was fast enough (even though it was Friday night).
Everything was good or excellent. At the first place I would put both my first course (penne with sun dried tomatoes and artichokes) and my dessert (an amazing homemade "panna cotta").
My wife wanted a trout, but it was finished; so she accepted the proposal of the waiter, a fresh tuna steak with grilled vegetables. I ordered instead strips of beef with spinach and sauteed peppers.
Bill not excessive, but neither such a low.
We would go again to try some other specialties (the menu is very rich).

I had the honor of staying in this hotel, let's say it was like being with family, we were welcomed like home, top staff, ready for every need, very kind owners, Mrs. Paola attentive to every request of the customer, super clean rooms, and then the food, I've been around enough in my life but I've never had a place like this before, super generous courses, everything very good, excellent fish, I've never eaten like this even at the seaside, I've left my heart and I hope to see them again soon.

We celebrated my birthday in the restaurant with the family. You sit outside right on the street. Not particularly nice. The drinks and also the food for my husband and son arrived quickly, along with the starter for my daughter and me. After that, unfortunately, nothing happened. Only after we were informed three times that two main courses were missing were they finally brought. Unfortunately, the quality was mediocre. No apologies from the staff. Not recommended.
