I have been to Zermatt a few times, and if we go skiing on the Italian side, Chalet etoile is my favorite place. During busy periods of the winter, a reservation might be smart, but if the group of people is small, you might get a table still. The food is great, it looks perfect, and is a little bit... More

This is one of the best restaurant in Alps. It is very popular and busy. We got there before12:30 and were lucky to get a table without a reservation. I saw many customers being turned away. The service is excellent, our food came within 10 minuets of ordering. I had fish soup and it was superb! We were party of... More

Sunny porch, good food. Between the pastas, the roast pork and the salads, everybody went back skiing happy.

What a menu. My favorite is the tune grilled with sesame and pistachio and they serve wasabi ice cream with it. What a great idea.

We could probably eat here every day of our ski week! Seems the service has been improved as well, the food is still topnotch, Ulla as a chef is amazing. Not a idle dish that doesn't deliver, good wines to reasonable prices. No wonder one must reserve - and ahead of time! Not to miss while skiing in either Zermatt... More

I had heard many good reports about this place from the Swiss side and as we were staying in Cervinia for this Ski Trip I was eager to try it out for myself - and try me I was not disappointed nor were the other 19 people on my table I had a Seared Tuna with Wasabi Ice cream which... More

We managed to go 3 times during our carnival skiing vacation. You need to book a couple days in advance, since this place is really popular. The food was definitely above average and often has twist (e.g Gnocchi with blue cheese, pears and walnuts). I preferred the primi piatti (as often) over the secondi, but we also had excellent lamb... More

We were hungry, we were thursty and we were tired, but we left the Chalet etoile completely satified. And on top of that with a superb service and not extrodinary prices. You better make a reservation some days in advance, but this works easy via mail or phone. One day we had lunch on the terrass, so great. Another day... More

This has to be one of the best mountain restaurants I have ever been to with both excellent food and service. Although it is on the ski slopes I did walk there from the cable car. It is important to book because it is very popular but on a sunny day it was well worth it

We unfortunately never actually ate here, only made this a regular spot to stop at on the way home off the slopes, very relaxed, real sun trap (early April), too hot at times really. The 'Bombardino's' were fantastic, highly recommended. Had a pretty good vibe going on, lots of skiers lounging about on loungers & bean-bags, having a beverage, chatting... More
