Been to Venice my second time, and third time in Italy. This is - bar-none - the best pizza ever!! At amazing, affordable prices, in a great garden ambiance - you get a pizzeria locals prefer. Huge pizzas, amazing selection and the best servers I've encountered in Italy - quick and efficient - this was an amazing dinner. A must-have... More

Good service and really nice tasting pizzas. There is lots of variety and the pizzas were fresh and hot when they came. Very close (walking distance) to B4 Bellini hotel for those staying there.

if you like having pizza in a little quiet garden with a good wine, you will find it here. Even the desert has been excellent. The salad did not convince.

We looked up this eatery before visiting, the Pizza was delicious and reasonably priced. We shared a Inferno Pizza with half a litre of Wine for 20Euros - Sit in the Garden to the rear of the property if it's sunny, peace and quite amongst the hustle and bustle!

We liked this place, with it's huge range of thin, Roman style pizzas, tasty house red and snappy service. It's hardly fine dining but if all you want is tasty, good value food at the end of a day trailing around Venice then I highly recommend it.

I visited this restaurant with my family hving arrived that same afternoon in Venice. I chose based on Trip advisor reviews and it was close to where we were staying. It was excellent, wide selection of pizza to choose from (every pizza we had was fantastic), everyone speaks excellent english and made us all feel very welcome. Fabulous deserts too,... More

We ate here on our last night in Venice. The pizzas were exactly how we like them, thin and crispy base with the right amount of topping. We had a Daniela and a Crudaiola pizza and both were delicious! The house red cost us 12 euros for a litre and 3.10 for fizzy mineral water. I have to say the... More

Staying in Santa Croce

Neighbourhood Profile
Santa Croce
Santa Croce gained importance as a sestiere (district) when Piazzale Roma was created in the 1930s to bring cars and buses close to the center of Venice. Constitution Bridge spans the Grand Canal linking Piazzale Roma to the train station. This area buzzes with energy from travelers and students. Historic palaces and former industrial buildings house some departments of Ca' Foscari and IUAV Architecture universities. On the Fondaco dei Turchi, Venice's Museum of Natural History offers Venetians prehistoric thrills, plus an overview of lagoon fish and wildlife. The Grand Canal, northern boundary of Santa Croce, is lined with palaces and decorated by the tall green dome of San Simeon Piccolo. Ca' Pesaro attracts Venetians to its contemporary art exhibitions. The Grand Canal exposes only one face of these buildings. On the opposite side, the palace often interacts with a square or a busy street to represent its neighbourhood identity.
