The menue for the panini there is incredible. I guess you can chosse from more than 100 different kinds. Each panini is a composition of local incredients and the variety reaches from seafood to self made salami or just vegetables. We had a spicy mushroom/vegetable and a salami, vegetable mozarella sandwich. Both had been just delicious and tasted excellent. But... More

Came here today for a late lunch and the young man serving was so helpful and friendly, we said we wanted a panini and he helpfully gave us a menu in English. Some of the choices we wanted could not be done however he explained as there was no Brie for the panini he would use an Italian equivalent -... More

Found by accident, but glad we did. Great choice of sandwiches and salads, staff friendly and helpful, speak English. Sandwiches are big enough and really tasty. We would recommend this place.

Dropped in here for a light lunch while getting lost in the streets of Venice. I had their mozzarella salad (mirella 3) which was absolutely delicious. This place is definitely not a tourist trap. The bread was very high quality, as was the mozzarella. This is not the place for a romantic or special meal but for good food, nice... More

Fell into this small corner spot to share a sandwich and soda while exploring streets of Venice. Great unusual filling choices. If you're not starving it was enough to share. Who new tuna&peppers in spicy oil on crispy bread Yum. Will try this at home

Arrived at this bar for a drink and lunch. Say down outside while my wife and daughter went to the toilet. Charged a euro for the loo. I sat looking at the menu when an old guy sat and stared at me from the restaurant. My wife returned and we order a sandwich and a beer. He still stood there... More

I've always gone to this little bar due to their lovely tramezzini. The level of welcome varies a bit and has occasionally been less than warm-particularly from the lady who seems to be joint proprietor. This time, however, may have been ' the last straw'. We ordered our little sandwiches and some wine and stood at the counter to enjoy... More

Lovely affordable authentic lunch from family run business near Campo San Polo. Soups, gnocchi and sandwiches. Most delicious soup and gnocchi with tomato sauce so fresh and tasty while gnocchi with spinach ricotta and sage was also delicious. Simple but exactly what is required on cold day.

Hard to categorize this Bar which has been in its location, "forever". The coffee used to be decent now it is excellent - do not know if they changed the coffee or the machine, but it became our favorite local place. Breakfast pastries and breads have been taken to a new artiginal level - excellent kiefers - a favorite of... More

This place has an expansive menu of different sandwiches to order from. A hidden gem. Off the beaten path.

Staying in San Polo

Neighbourhood Profile
San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest neighbourhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi) stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San Polo is defined by churches including Basilica dei Frari, one of the most important churches sought by art lovers.
