We ate here for lunch unplanned as we wanted to rest our feet whilst it rained and went in the first reasonably priced restaurant we saw. Given Venice's reputation for ripping off tourists in value / quality this was a rookie mistake. The waitress was...More

Despite of many bad reviews on restaurants in Venice we just try this place since we can have a lunch without reservation. We totally understand that a restaurant in the middle of main tourist attraction can be tricky. We try the Risotto just basic with...More

Stopped in to grab a quick snack and the server seated us, then wandered off without giving us menus. We ordered a Margherita pizza to share and what came out was essentially Ellio’s frozen pizza. I grew up eating Ellio’s, but it’s pretty disappointing to...More

As we walked in, we were not greeted. Once we sat, the server pushed to order more. Asked if we wanted wine, beer, etc. several times and appetizers. The food did not seem authentic. The carbonara said it had bacon and came out with ham....More

We ate here after looking around as they offered a "tourist" meal of three courses for E14 which we thought was reasonable. We ordered a fish pasta and gnocci which were good, the "salmone pasta" had no salmon in it, but unsure if we misunderstood...More

Very nice restaurant close to the main attractions but in a busy, but not overcrowded street. Good opportunity to grab something to eat, nothing too exiting but good. The two pasta we had were apparently very good, my pizza was ok....prices not on the cheap...More

My family and I ate dinner here & we loved it. We all got seafood-my husband and I got the specials & my daughters got food off of the regular menu. It was all amazing. The service was spectacular as well.

As Venice is teeming with tourists (like us), we had to lower our expectations that we'd actually find a good restaurant. As in most places we visit, we ask locals for their recommendations - and Osteria al Garanghelo was one of them. The place does...More

My husband and I stopped in for dinner and sadly regret it. I ordered a pizza without any tomato sauce and was assured several times that there would be no tomatoes. When my husband’s veal arrived, it was covered in a lackluster sauce. When my...More

We had a lovely pizza and lasagne between us and a couple of drinks and overall the food was lovely and it was good value. However, the staff were too busy messing around to make this a decent place to go. When my drink was...More
