We ordered a maxi pie for dinner one night. They told us it could serve 6, we were just two humble travelers that accepted the challenge. We tried more then 6 pizza joints during our stay in Venice and this one was hands down the best. Not so good for breakfast as we didn't have a way to reheat but... More

Most of the Pizza in Italy was on thin crust. This Pizza was a thicker, lighter crust and it was delicious. The price was very reasonable. No seating available...this is a take away place.

Went here because of the reviews and it did not disappoint! It was very good! The place is very small so there are only like 3 stools to sit in. The price is very good (around 2.5 euros for a slice) and its a huge slice! They also have delivery in the Cannaregio division, we were staying near so we... More

A stop for quick pizza squares not far from the train station, cheap (2-3 €/piece). Went around lunch time, limited selection (4-5 types). Lots of options on the menu but expect to wait 25 minutes for a made-to-order pizza. Small counter with couples of stools.

Headed to this place after it was recommended through a blog and were very glad we did. A great slice of pizza and very nice service. Was a bit of a shame they weren't doing full sized pizzas for lunch as well but good nonetheless.

Came here based on reviews and location. We are staying close-by and my husband eats pizza 24/7. The price cannot be beat! Got a medium with one topping for 6 euros. We asked for a maxi and were told that it was enormous so we went for the medium which fed the two of us (five slices). It's very much... More

I went here on the 18/09/16 as it had excellent reviews on here and it didn't disappoint. There was a slight wait though no problem whatsoever. The pizza was incredible, had the maxi size and one recommended by the staff. It had blue cheese, ham, mushrooms and another cheese and was amazing! One of the top 3 pizzas Ive had... More

This is the place to go for delicious, inexpensive, good-value pizza in Venice. This is where the locals go! We got the largest size thinking it was a medium size based on the price and compared to what we've paid elsewhere. It was HUGE! The box wouldn't even fit in our fridge. They don't speak a lot of English, and... More

We were in Venice for our second honeymoon and having found this place reviewed on tripadvisor we just had to find it. WOW we weren't disappointed. The pizza to this day is by far the best we have both ever tasted ... Now let me come on to the size and the price. I had to put a trainer (size... More

My husband was really wanting to try this place as he had read good reviews. We were staying only 2 mins away on the canal so he headed out to grab some pizzas! Let me just say wow! They had so much flavour. They were one of the best pizzas we have both ever had! Being that pizza is our... More

Staying in Cannaregio

Neighbourhood Profile
Cannaregio
Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district) with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution, 2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby shops on the Lista di Spagna offer specialties like pastries and coffee that lure Venetians with a down-to-earth attitude. The Ghetto, where the Jewish population was segregated in Cannaregio, has five historic synagogues with an active Jewish community. The Fondamente Nove bustles with foot traffic to the Rialto and San Marco while vaporettos (water taxis) head to Murano and other islands. Side streets lead into quiet picturesque neighbourhoods and palaces like Ca' d'Oro rise directly out of the water.
