Easily missed as the entrance is not in your face. Looks small from the outside but when you enter, it has few different rooms. The food was simple, typically Italian but delicious. We had local sardine and onion spaghetti, maybe it doesn't sound appealing but it is great, and sea bass fillet filled with spinach, which was also tasty. With... More

Ate there with a group of people. Food was reasonably good, but not special. Fried prawns and small shrimp were quite good, but other items were fair. Good atmosphere and well located in an alley near Rialto. Atmosphere was good, and it was reasonably good value.

I've been in several osterias and bacaros in Venice and I never found beer more expensive than 2.5€ unless they where particular. Average beer, lager, nothing special for 3€ and bartender not that polite...nothing special but nice inside

The tiny entrance to this local restaurant is deceiving. It leads to a traditional bar area and several dining rooms, mostly frequented by local workmen and employees at lunch time. Go for Venetian dishes. I had bigoli in salsa. The sauce was made with onions and compared very favorably with other recipes I have tried. One of my friends also... More

Good food but even better friendly service. Two couples with drinks and 6 shared plates Wass around 65 euros value and good sized meals. View is not on the canals but a good quiet location, I recommend you try.

Al in this place is tipycal and tasty. From the fish appetizers, that you can have at any time with delicious pinot grigio or fantastic spritz to the fine pasta dishes. I had an amazing bigoli in salsa, that are a traditional kind of spaghetti blended with an anchovy and onion sauce: perfect. Always ask for the daily specials. Nice... More

Visited the site during our short stay for many times. The service and the food is like at home with venetian touch and atmosphere. I would recommend the osteria to everyone who seeks to find someting simple but excelent by taste. Specially ask for days speciality! You will enjoy! Take the house wine!

The price was great for a three course meal and had that hidden local atmosphere. I enjoyed the pasta very much but i did not like the fish. They did have utensil fees but like i said the overall price was great for Venice for a three course meal.

Thank Mauricio M

Staying in San Polo

Neighbourhood Profile
San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest neighbourhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi) stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San Polo is defined by churches including Basilica dei Frari, one of the most important churches sought by art lovers.
