Good fish and seafood. Mixed plate that contains both fish and other seafood is recommended. The price is 19 euro, which is a moderate price. Pizza is alright and big portion considering its price.

Absolutely worth the visit if you can find it! Delicious and authentic Italian food with lovely and helpful staff. I tried the baguette number 2 because I had no idea what to expect and it was amazing!! My husband has the lobster pasta and said it was the best he's ever had. Well priced as well considering the big portions!!!

We went there dissatisfied with another pizza place in Venice. Our hotel staff recommened it as the place where he goes for pizza. The place was very busy. We decided to take takaway. There was no problem with that. The pizza was very good. He let us wait at the table, we didn't have to stand. Interesting and friendly Italian... More

This restaurant was recommended and took a little looking for but worth it! It's a place where the tourist can blend with the locals and experience Venetian cuisine. A true hidden Jem!

What a great place this was to eat, drink and be merry. We had a great evening and met some lovely people on the table either side of us, so had great conversation as well as great food. Fantastic and efficient staff too. We'll be back!!!

Staying in Castello

Neighbourhood Profile
Castello is the largest of the six sestieri (districts), and the only one not facing onto the Grand Canal. More than half of Castello is situated within Arsenale, the naval base, which occupies over one-fifth the area of Venice. This gentrified maritime neighbourhood feels busy but casual. Castello’s side streets are laid back, with small boats lining canals criss-crossed by laundry. Semiannual exhibitions add a strong artsy current to the Arsenale area. Via Garibaldi in Castello, with its shops and bars, has one of Venice's rare straight and wide boulevards. When a large ship turns around the Lido to enter the Giudecca Canal, the startling sight creates an illusion that it will run aground right on Via Garibaldi! Families treasure Giardini near the island's tip, green with rare trees and grass, and Riva degli Schiavoni is a popular spot for Venetians to take a stroll to watch the sunset.
