I can't fault the food - it was good!! But the service... they rushed us in making our order, they rushed us with getting us the food, they rushed us with the bill (and got the sum wrong by over charging us). We were there...More

We ate twice at Trattoria Alla Ferrata. Both times we had delicious food and friendly service at a very reasonable price. Highly recommended!

While staying in Venice, we came across this restaurant. It was around the corner from the apartment we were staying in. We were a group of 7 and I am celiac, however, the rest of the group was not. The food was fresh, the atmosphere...More

Visited with 2 teenagers, we are all vegetarian and found 3 different dishes to try, all delicious. Charming outdoor terrace eating area, staff couldn’t do enough for us and well priced for Venice. Don’t be put off by the noisy pub next door, you can’t...More

I went to Trattoria Alla Ferrata during my stay in Venice. Upon arrival, we were seated in a cosy area and got the menus. The waiter recommended a lovely wine and it matched really well the meals. I had the pappardelle with tuna ragu and...More

Party of 6 with no booking and we managed to get in on a stormy night. Had been recommended by our Venetian host as good local fare, the service was friendly, meals very tasty and their beer was cold. It was a shame we left...More

Don't believe the great reviews... nothing about this place is 4.5 stars. Scampi and shrimp were obviously frozen, grilled veg was soggy and burnt... even the complimentary bread was awful. Definitely a tourist trap; don't make the same mistake I made and avoid at all...More

Decided to check out after seeing reviews on TripAdvisor. Had a spaghetti, grilled veggies and seafood spaghetti. Too salty and not the typical pasta you're used to getting in Italy. Wanted to have an amazing last night dinner in Italy but failed. Sorry.

Santa Croce
Santa Croce gained importance as a sestiere (district)
when Piazzale Roma was created in the 1930s to bring
cars and buses close to the center of Venice.
Constitution Bridge spans the Grand Canal linking
Piazzale Roma to the train station. This area buzzes
with energy from travelers and students. Historic
palaces and former industrial buildings house some
departments of Ca' Foscari and IUAV Architecture

Good question. I'm not sure. They waiters all spoke very good English so if you called the restaurant I'm sure they could tell you. Enjoy your trip!

There is a small dining area inside, but truly the more enjoyable experience is under the tent, where you can catch glimpses of some of the buildings and their iconic designs :)
