We visit this coffee shop every year when we are in Venice and order the coffee online so we can enjoy this wonderful coffee at home. This year my wife took a liking to the coffee cups on display and as our week was coming to an end we tried to purchase one. Unfortunately our timing was poor as there... More

Brilliant little coffee bar. Standing only, in true Italian style. About 8 different beans on offer, all freshly ground. I recommend the Guatemala bean.

No matter where you stay when in Venice, this place deserves at least one visit! You will find many house-roasted specialty blends to choose from, among them "miscela del ghetto" named after the nearby location. Take your spot by the bar, order a macchiatone with a blend of your taste and watch its flawless preparation from the passionate staff, while... More

Go enjoy the coffee and you will return numerous times. Absolutely the best coffee in Italy. Went based on TA reviews and enjoyed it immensely.

That's all you need to know. If you appreciate a really really good coffee go here. And for bonus points it's ridiculously cheap too. Two proper Cappuccino were a grand total of €2.80.

Best coffee in Venice, lovely staff and a vast selection of coffee beans on display and you can have them grounded to take away. Very busy all day. Great value espresso 1 euro. Great baristas making splendid cappuccinos, and always so pleasant. Great start to your day!

Staying in Cannaregio

Neighbourhood Profile
Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district) with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution, 2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby shops on the Lista di Spagna offer specialties like pastries and coffee that lure Venetians with a down-to-earth attitude. The Ghetto, where the Jewish population was segregated in Cannaregio, has five historic synagogues with an active Jewish community. The Fondamente Nove bustles with foot traffic to the Rialto and San Marco while vaporettos (water taxis) head to Murano and other islands. Side streets lead into quiet picturesque neighbourhoods and palaces like Ca' d'Oro rise directly out of the water.
