Although small, the space is well designed with an outdoor garden, and the limited menu fulfills one's desires for light fare but still creative and tasty. Various sandwiches, soups and deserts feature ingredients of the season.

This little tea room is the perfect spot for an afternoon cup of tea/coffee and a cake. Small and comfortable with excellent service and delicious food. If one enjoys exotic teas, there are plenty on the menu as well as the more ordinary choices.

Almost hidden half way down Calle Lunga this delightful tea room has a cool and shaded garden providing a respite from the heat and bustle that is Campo San Barnaba. Elena Piaggi provides a bewildering array of fine teas, excellent coffee, and, in this beer snobs view a superb local beer(bottled of course). The cakes and snacks are always fresh... More

We stopped in the garden for tea and felt like we were back in Japan. Nice Asian plants and tea selection. Friendly service.

This tiny place near Campo San Barnaba offers a large variety of teas and fresh cakes. I enjoyed the shaded garden at the back at the end of a long day. Quite unusual to find a place that specializes in serving tea.

I stopped here during a wandering around Venice and it was the perfect place to rest and taste the quiet of the real Venice. The place is beautiful, the garden is just perfect as the food. I took a black peach tea(I recommend it) a vegetarian sandwich and a brownie and the staff was so nice to me with everything.... More

If you are tired of coffee and would like a 5 o'clock tea - go to Beatrice. Sit outside in the shady garden, choose from large list of tea and coffee, have a cake. Ok, it's not french patisserie, but decent and tasty. All in all - charming little place to visit.

Our local friend found this little gem on a very windy day and as we needed something strong and hot this was just perfect. My partner took a piece of very creamy and chocolatic chocolate cake, very tasty. Had it not been for another appointment we would have chatted along for two more hours.

We found this spot accidently. While walking by I looked on my right and saw some door open. I looked through the place and saw that this is a coffee place and has an open backyard. After coming in I felt in love immediately. Place is cosy, with many leafy plants, nice staff and good coffee! It is a nice... More

Beatrice is sweet and the tea can be strong. Consider this an alternative to the cafés on the plazas. Maybe get a green tea if you already had plenty of esspressi, today.

Staying in Dorsoduro / Accademia

Neighbourhood Profile
Dorsoduro / Accademia
Artsy is the defining mood of this neighbourhood with street artists, students, painters, sculptors, restorers, curators, historians, collectors, heirs and heiresses rubbing elbows. Peggy Guggenheim's collection, now a museum, lures chic locals for evening art aperitifs. Traditionalists and visionaries cocoon in bohemian luxury. La Salute basilica buttresses the neighbourhood to the east. Gondolas bob in the morning light. The Accademia Bridge crosses the Grand Canal. A back street doubles as basketball court. Palaces house residents, or like Ca' Foscari a university, or a museum like Ca’ Rezzonico that attracts Venetians for concerts. Dorsoduro reveals its industrial roots too, in buildings converted to house university departments or exhibitions. Campo Santa Margherita bursts with youthful energy from local students. Foot traffic bustles to and from Piazzale Roma and Santa Lucia train station. Evening commuters pause for an aperitivo. Neighbours exchange confidants in a campo (square) on their way to market.
