This restaurant is facing Grand Canal & has a beautiful view. Food is good too. Soup & mushroom Spaghetti in white sauce were done pretty well. It seems to be a busy place. But the service was not up to the expectations & was very slow too.

We were having dinner while we were waiting for a ferry. Service was amazing, food and wine too. The view in this point is great!

Me and my partner came across this restaurant by coincidence and ended up having a fantastic evening. The service was very efficient and the waiter had a great sense of humour. We had quite a bit of banter with him and he certainly brightened up the evening. I liked the food and the wine he recommended was indeed a very... More

After being charmed into this restaurant we were seated at our table bought some covers (dry bread and bread sticks. We waited a long time for our dried out food and were hardly spoken to. Food was not good I cannot say anything nice about this overpriced restaurant., other than the charm was very good to entice you in. Covers... More

My friend and I had dinner here on the 1st night of our stay in Venice, the Waiter was very charming to start with and showed us to a table. Once we were seated his smile disappeared! The food prices were not too bad and really what we expected given the prime location, however the drinks prices were EXTORTIONATE!! 15Euros... More

I don't enjoy giving such a poor rating, but I was a first time visitor to Italy and this was the worst hospitality experience I'd received in my life. We were a polite group of women on holiday and this is how a bald, short and agressive waiter treated us during our unpleasant stay: He threw down plates on our... More

We went there for dinner and the place looks fine. After few moments we realise that it was a bad choice... food was poor and expensive and the service was quiet rude. Avoid the place 😠 !!

Staying in Castello

Neighbourhood Profile
Castello is the largest of the six sestieri (districts), and the only one not facing onto the Grand Canal. More than half of Castello is situated within Arsenale, the naval base, which occupies over one-fifth the area of Venice. This gentrified maritime neighbourhood feels busy but casual. Castello’s side streets are laid back, with small boats lining canals criss-crossed by laundry. Semiannual exhibitions add a strong artsy current to the Arsenale area. Via Garibaldi in Castello, with its shops and bars, has one of Venice's rare straight and wide boulevards. When a large ship turns around the Lido to enter the Giudecca Canal, the startling sight creates an illusion that it will run aground right on Via Garibaldi! Families treasure Giardini near the island's tip, green with rare trees and grass, and Riva degli Schiavoni is a popular spot for Venetians to take a stroll to watch the sunset.
