There is a good reason why a restaurant remains in business for years, it's because their food and service is ALWAYS consistent and excellent. I have been to Da Ivo several times over the past 30+/- years and this is one place that is never...More

This restaurant oozes character and atmosphere. A dining haunt of the rich and famous. The food is sensational and beautifully presented. The sommelier definitely knows his job. The service is slightly overfamiliar in fact I'm sure one of our waiters was intoxicated. Despite this we...More

Amazing! Great atmosphere, service and incredible food. A half bottle of the Amarone Torto was also well priced and incredible. We sat between an American couple celebrating their 11th anniversary and an English couple their 25th so we fitted in perfectly with our 20th!

We had good lunch in this nice restaurant. The prices are high but OK. Check carefully the invoice. We later noticed that they charged us double dessert and wine.

We ate some good food in Italy. Da Ivo had some of the best seafood. Pay attention to the specials, chances are they are the freshest of the fresh. The fried zucchini blossoms stuffed with shrimp easily rated as my #1 fave meal in Italy....More

Do Ivo isn't just about a fabulous meal. It's all from the heart with bear - like padrone Giovanni Fracassi, bear on the outside and a heart of gold inside. He makes you feel absolutely relaxed, welcome, excited for the next piatto and his wine...More

The restaurant is cosy and the service professional. The food, however, was not what we expected compared to the prices. We would have expected something "different" but actually we ate "spaghetti alle vongole" the following evening in another trattoria, half price and delicious, whereas at...More

It's not a big restaurant so frankly I wouldn't risk it unless you're George Clooney who just turned up for his stag night with a group of friends and of course wasn't turned away
