Small restaurant with nautical inspired interior. Book well in advance (two weeks at least) for dinner/lunch and probably more if you wish to sit in the little terrace that overlooks the canal (only two tables in this area). The restaurant is a great choice amidst...More

We had a most wonderful delish meal here in a restaurant reminiscent of one of the water taxis which zip you around Venice canals in style. My husband and I had the tasting menu which was so full of so many different flavours and textures,...More

We spent a lot of money here, but it was basically worth it. Tremendous seafood-- the eel was revelatory-- and terrific wine. It's in a very picturesque corner of San Polo, and the service was superb. Really, no complaints. Highly recommended.

Da Fiore is a traditional restaurant: nothing experimental or exciting but really cosy and delicious. All the ingredients were local, high quality and all the dishes well executed and served. We especially liked shrimp carpaccio. The staff is friendly and very professional. For sure, the...More

We were a large group of friends and chose the finest in Venice for dinner. Obviously the choices were wide range and the staff were struggling to get our orders right. They were a bit ruffled. I ordered soft shell crab. It was breaded and...More

I would not rate this a Michelin one star restaurant due to the attitude of the wait staff. This is an old school sort of place. Arrogant waiters dressed in tuxes rush around while avoiding eye contact. It took an hour to get bread sticks...More

The restaurant was easy to find. From outside the place does not look attractive, but inside it is beautiful, we requested the best table with wonderful views. When we arrived they pretended we had to seat down against the wall in a small table and...More

We were expecting a wonderful lunch after reading some of the reviews but came away from this restaurant disappointed. For a Michelin one star it was missing the extra we would expect. The service was good, the staff friendly, the setting cosy, but the food...More

Having spotted the photograph of the balcony table, I had to try and book it for a special lunch while in Venice. Overall we are really glad we came but with hindsight we may have been better off ordering from the à la carte menu,...More

We ate lunch in Da Fiore. (Made reservations far in advance) Linen tablecloths, exceptional service and food. I highly recommend Da Fiore, and if you are lucky, you might actually seat at one and the only table by the channel; if not don't worry, everything...More

San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the
Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six
sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest
neighbourhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the
markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops
display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San
Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi)
stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San
