Very fresh raw fish, deliciously cooked appetizer, and very professional. When I visit them next time, I will try a few others cooked fish and clams, then hopefully I can give5 stars! At the moment it's 4.5 stars :)

Last evening in Bari. This place is on the promenade a few minutes walk from the old town and shopping streets. Traditional restaurant for both seafood and also they make great pizza. Value for money is very good and sure a place to recommend!

If you get a table near the oven you get additional theatre thrown in as you watch the man trying to keep pace with the orders for bread, pizza and sundry dishes. First rate fish place with interesting antipasto choices. Good value since it is a bit off the beaten track.

The menu, staff and prices at this restaurant were wonderful. I recommend the mixed starter to be shared by the diners and then you can choose mains from a wide choice of dishes. Lovely restaurant

Some other restaurants, most notably in Old Town, seem to get all the notoriety and not all of it good as they tend to be tourist traps. Just 15 minutes from Old Town, on the sea is a gem of a place serving wonderfully fresh food (including ample fish) and with a friendliness and cordiality that you crave as well... More

Lucky find in Bari while on business! Brilliant seafood focused Restaurant that over delivers on ambience, menu, and service, all at super reasonable prices. Staff very friendly and helpful with menu choices, menu flexible enough to cover most people's tastes. Clientele all local when we visited, a reassuring sign. Highly recommended.

We arrived by the late evening, we had warm seafood appetisers, good quality but not that memorable portion. Also we had raw octopus, very fresh but stiff. Highlight it's raw sea bass dressed with olive oil and lemon pepper. Pasta dishes were good with fresh ingredients . Overall I like it even if I would say amazing. Staff it has... More

My wife and I had just driven across southern Italy (Naples to Bari), a wonbderful experience and had settled in our apartment accomodation. We wanted to have an early dinner and La Battigia was recommended. We arrived at 7:30pm, first customers of the evening, still setting up for the dinner crowd, but welcomed very warmly. This set the tone for... More
