We just wanted some pizza because were full of all Sardinian "pomodoro" things, so we choose the nearest pizzeria. After ordering, the staff evaluated us probably as a low-cost customers and did not bring even "copperto" on the table, so we were waiting for our meals just siphoning "de la casa" wine (not very good). Pizza itself was good. ...... More

This restaurant was recommended to us by an English lady who worked in the nearby supermarket. We went on a Saturday night and were lucky to get a table as it was so busy. [so be sure to book a table on a Sat] We had a starter, mine came on a wooded platter, a very large one, there were... More

Sa Mesa is a bit of a walk from the old town of Alghero but as it is along the Lido, it was a pleasant evening experience. We were greeted warmly and sat outside. Throughout the evening local people arrived and were greeted as old friends, which always a good sign. We went straight for the Porcetto, which seems like... More

This place is our favourite in Alghero. The food is delicious and very authentic, the setting is peaceful and gorgeous, and the service is homely. My partner and I couldn´t recommend it more!

Atmosphere was nice. Service was good although the restaurant was crowded. I had roasted pickling which was really amazing. My friends had beef stake and grilled squid which they were good too. I think that everything worth their money.

Visited the restaurant 3 times (yes, it was really close to our hotel) all and all during our stay in Alghero. One time for seafood, one time for suckling pig and one time for pizza. Maybe the most dissapointing one was the seafood. On the other hand: The suckling pig was perfect, on which I make the conclusion that they... More

When i want to have the typical Sardinian suckling pig "porcetto" with roast potatoes, then i don't waste time checking anywhere else. I just book at Sa Mesa.

We stopped here without a reservation and were given a table. The gentleman who attended to us also spoke English and was friendly & helpful. We sat outside and had a good meal. The pasta was tasty & plentiful. There was a small cover charge for which we were given some breads. We opted for the chefs cake and were... More

Had a nice meal here. The first choice is whether to go air conditioned area or not. The wide is reasonably wide. We shared a mixed plate of meats and cheeses which was very nice with a particularly nice pineapple chutney to go with meats and salamis. I had a pleasant, simple 3 cheese tortellini which was well cooked. Pretty... More

I and my sister visited this place while walking around, looking around for some place to eat, when we found this place. It is cosy, the staff is friendly and the food was delicious. We felt a bit bad for not being able to eat all the food, because it was so much of it (we ordered a special where they... More
